Another FC for me! :)

So, I got tired of the FB and realized how much of a headache it would be to do a T2 swap on it and all the other stuff so I bought me a '89 T2. Has a rebuilt street ported motor, running a microtech. 850cc primaries and 1100 secondaries. 60-1 Turbo, full suspension, racing beat exhause, HKS ewg... it's a clean ride. Needs some tlc. I'll be posting updates as often as possible. This one is going to be done nice and clean. Little things here and there I should say.

Some pics for now

Your sound went nuts in the video once you headed over to the first gen

Also, what's it idling at? I could not see in the video. It sounds healthy and steady though.

Yeah I just noticed that. Pretty strange lol. But yeah it's hanging out around 900 or so. Pulls hard that's for sure.

Forgot to add this in my OP. But my list of things to do are the following...

Maintenance! Oil, rad flush, check the plugs and replace if necessary cause they're super expensive lol, and lots of cleaning.
Figure out a way to minimize the exhaust smoke (It's pretty excessive and the turbo isn't blown... definitely not coolant.)
Find the missing dash pieces and replace broken vents
Fix the A/C (yes I'd like it once in a while when it rains)
Repair the 3 tiny rust spots
Reglue the peeling tail lights
Get the wideband gauge functioning accurately
Figure out why the back light on my boost gauge isn't on
Get my fogs to work
An alignment is in order as well
Shifter bushings
Bleed clutch
Aftermarket temp gauge (have heard bad things about s5 temp gauge)

Think that's it for now... Knowing these cars, something will come up.

Question for you all:

I noticed that the speedo is off by about 10mph once I pass 40mph or so. Any ideas on how to get this fixed? It shows ~10mph faster than the rate I'm actually traveling at.

Tire size. A slightly different circumference will ultimately change your speedometer number.

Well I think the tires are 225/55/16 or maybe 45's... not sure. But it can't be that off from that size could it?

By the way, anyone have any idea what brand turbo this is? Didn't find any other markings on it except for the a/r 60 etching. I'm thinking it's an ebay turbo. =x

Looks like your standard hybrid, could be a Stage 3 BNR.

Yeah it could be... Still thinking of a way to correct the speedo. I can't do it physically cause I'm in Kentucky right now lol... Maybe the cable needs to be replaced?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a friend took a look at the turbo and said that the rear housing or hotside (whatever you want to call it) was stock, and fitted onto it is a a/r .60 front. Sound reasonable? It spools up rather quick. And from what I remember, it has a lot more punch than a stock turbo.
