So hopefully someone reads my babble and can give me some input. I have a gm coolant temp sensor and a autometer electrical fuel sweep coolant temp gauge I need to install. Since I have 2 water pump housings I plan on using the one I have off of the motor and drilling and tapping two locations for 3/8npt. One location is the front flat spot as described in aaron cakes write up and the other is the Thermo sensor on the back side of the water pump housing. I will be tapping both to 3/8 and then getting a 1/8 to 3/8 adapter for the temp sensor. I would like to keep my crappy stock gauge intact as well. Also if I ever go back to the extra stock ecu set up I have I can utilize my other coolant pump housing. So over the weekend I'll be giving this a go unless anyone objects. And even if you do I'll probably still go for it bc I am very hard headed.

Well I guess it's time for the real work to start. Everything I need to finish my car will be here In the next two weeks. My goal is to get the coilovers and wheels on this weekend and roll the fenders while I wait for all my piping, fuel and wiring supplies to get in. My half *** proper race car is outrageously destroying my funds. Need to get my shop up and running so I can claim this **** on my taxes

Good progress this weekend. I finished rolling my fender and installed my coilovers. I also installed my rear camber arm and removed my old fuel lines. I started putting together and making my oil lines. Rolled the car outside to clean the garage floor.

Ordered my momo Monte Carlo, quick disconnect and slim hub adapter tonight. Also got a balanced shift **** from era one. Next week I will be heading to the local welding shop to get some argon, aluminum wire and 308 stainless wire to start mocking up my piping. Started planning out my racing seats and cage for the winter project. I'll most likely go with kirkey intermediate seats and build my own cage. Jd2 seems to be the tubing bender if choice.

It's funny. I thought after working on newer cars all day it would still be fun to build my dream car, it's just finding the time and not having a garage at my house sucks. We are hopefully getting a house with a garage within the next month so we will see how it all plays out

I wouldn't give up so hastily. I work on cars for a living and work on my dreams at home and drive them to work when they are driveable or tow them to work for after hours work and tow them back home when I leave.

I work at a dealer, and no, I am not the foremen either. Then again, I have been where I am for 10 years. Hate to see you part the car considering the body is so clean
