Alex Rodriguez's original owner 1987 Artic Silver---again woman owned! Haha

UPDATE!!!!!! ALL NEW CHANGES AND NEW LIFE OF THIS CAR START ON PAGE 2

Well here's the story of how "Mrs Artica" found her way into my life. As some of you know , I am a United states Marine recruiter while driving around my area I noticed what appeared to be the front nose of a FC hiding under a tree. I quickly turned around and be hold there's a artic silver FC sitting on 4 flats under a tree!

I quickly went in engage mode and knocked on the door. A nice 40ish lady opens the door and the conversation went like this!

Me- good afternoon mamm I was passing by and I noticed your rx7 is it for sale.
Lady- Oh my god! Please don't take this the wrong way. This isn't happening.
Me- huh
Lady - last night I had a dream my rx7 was taken by a marine!
Me- uh really?
Lady- this sounds crazy oh my god(starts to tear up and cries)
Me- it's ok mamm , I am a rx7 fanatic and would love to buy your rx7 is it for sale?
Lady- yes! My husband was asking $1000 but you can have it!!!!
Me- like for free.......
Lady- yes
Me - wow thanks these are my favorite cars
Lady- I know I bought mines in 87 in new jersey
Me - I was born in Camden new jersey!
Lady - no freaking way! It's yours you can have it I can use my AAA if you don't have towing
And then a few hours lady MRs Artica arrives in rotor land!

1987 Mazda rx7 artic silver
92,456 original miles
Original title 600 miles on it from 87
Folder holding over 20yrs of receipts and work done

It's been sitting 6 yrs
Pics to come soon, I still have my original owner 86 gxl btw

So all my friends are like , Alex another wtf! What are you doing with this one?

Well for starters it's a artic silver , then it's original owner, then it is mint inside and engine bay. Paint is the least of my worries.

Plans

Redo everything suspension related I am picking up a rear ended gxl for the complete swap also so I can go ahead and redo all the components with hyper flex bushings
A nice set of racing beat springs and tokicos- already have

Interior will be swapped for a black interior- upholstery shop

Engine -fresh rebuild with racing beat full exhaust from header to tips- on crashed gxl

Bbs 16x8 wheels with fresh set of falkens.-already got at the coaters

I can't keep two daily drivers so sadly the 86GXL will be FORSALE . But that's only to make room for a 83-85 gsl or gsl-se.

I Love these finds! Just had 2 t2's like this. What i think you should do, get it running, upgrade a few things, put a nice shine on her and go back to the ladys house and give her a ride. .

Ha! Not for the late 80s it wasn't. Prime in Aug '88 was 10%.

Wow, another one. I wonder what the neighbors must think. Seems like you have a new one every couple weeks! Wasn't there a white T2 as well in that driveway for a bit? You also seem to find the only unmolested FC's in the country somehow. Me, not so much.

Keep the interior stock...... You have all the documentation of service work, its a one owner car.

Just to paint and suspension and let someone else use it as a daily

One thing about that sub-zero starting tank. You can use it as an external OMP 2-cycle tank. You only need to remove the tank's pump, seal the hole the pump resided in, and just add a straight barbed fitting.

car is going to be my personal FP Class road race car. Since I plan on keeping it for a long time and it is the best model to start a race car out of then thats my route.

KEEPING THE THREAD ALIVE SINCE IT WILL BE TURNED INTO A ALL OUT SCCA READY CAR.
note- I am still keeping my GXL as my daily and my FD as my weekend/race/show car, The artic silver will be the trailer to the track kick *** trailer back home car.
