IL 91 GXL/TII Swap

Started finishing a project a friend couldn't finish on his own because he has 3 other projects atm. I bought his 91 GXL that he bought to replace a rusted out 91 tII. He had swapped over everything from his old tII and I have basically been putting it back together and finishing what he started.

His old engine blew iirc and we have a new one to put in. Now I know i'm going to get crap for this but, we are swapping in a 13b-rew. He's a very qualified fabrication specialist and this will be his 3rd FC build so i'm not too worried but it's something new for me as i've had no experience with cars ever. I bought it from him about 2 months ago and i've slowly been working on it doing little stuff until I can come up with the cash to fund the engine swap.

Some of the things i've done can be viewed on my blog here: http://my777.tumblr.com/ I've been cleaning up rust underneath the body since the car is from IL. I hit the front fenders, the rear under the gas tank, and a little bit of the rear fenders. I still need to get at the middle section.

I don't really have any future plans other than just getting this thing on the road. I've always wanted an FC and I had to jump on this. The price for it plus what i'm getting out of it I couldn't have asked for a better project

Just some basic things I know it has on it are:

kyb AGX shocks
turbo II swap parts
drillled/slotted brakes
eurothane bushings for suspension
steel braided brake lines

And not to mention all the extra parts it came with as well from the old swap.

Overall I'm just really excited to have this car and I would like it on the road by this summer but money/time pending we'll see how well that holds true

Well, the orange was the original color of the tII when it was in service. As for paint i've been throwing around a few different ideas. I was considering the same blue as the rx8 or possibly yellow as a 2nd option or even white which was what I originally wanted. Like I said my main goal is to get it on the road. Since I have so many parts I was thinking about making as many different colors as possible for it at first but I really haven't decided if I want to do that or not xD I have a white na hood; red, orange, and blue head lights; red, orange and blue mirrors; and black fenders so the sky's the limit as far as color customization.
