Before doing this, get some zip ties and use them to hold the 5/6th ports open, and drive the car like that for a week.

You can have your cake and eat it too, btw. Port the 4 port TII block, slap in the NA rotors.

I'm doing a 6 port turbo as well. Im using the stock na intakes with no mods need to mount the turbo. The only part is i did emmision delete so clearance was good. But instead of running stock t2 exhaust manifold. I used the top mount tubular t3 / t4 turbo headers. Idk if this gives you ideas but t2 stock manifolds works good as well stuff will bolt in easier.

Hey looks a little like my RX-7.
Yours is much cleaner though. Nice work.
Looks like quite a bit is involved to turbo one of these.
Maybe someday...
Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Hey Guys, Its been long time since i posted. Thats because my whole 6 port turbo had took a **** due to the housings and certain parts are not good enough. So i am thinking of getting S5 T2 swap from Japan2LA.
I also have narrowed my turbo to the this:-

himni racing
2 HR FC V2 87-92 Mazda RX-7 T04S 60-1 Turbo Kit FC3S

•Select Color - Silver
•Ported Anti-Surge Comp Housing? - YES
•Ceramic Coat Turbine & Manifold? - Yes
•Select Car/Engine Year - 89-91 S5 Turbo II 13BT Engine (Kouki)
•Select Downpipe - Large 3 Inch Downpipe
•Select Wastegate Configuration - Single Tial 44mm Wastegate

tell me what you guys think

You can put together your own kit for cheaper if you don't mind lightly used parts, an eBay manifold, and getting some fabrication done.
I know a guy who was running over 500HP with an eBay manifold. 2K miles on it, no warping or cracking.
I bought the setup for my 6-port Turbo project. I also bought a TIG welder, I'm going to add a brace to the manifold and fabricate my own V-Mount/Down pipe.
I have an the same eBay manifold as an extra that came with my parts car if I have any issues.

I did look at the Himni kits, but just like any put together kit they are $.

dwrx7 is selling a used KGParts "R85" Turbo kit in the NE section. The exhaust AR is large on the BW S362 turbo, but you could change it for a smaller one.

As stated before, you can hit 300WHP with a hybrid Turbo, if you're going with an imported S5 TII it will be your cheaper option.

Good luck man! I've spent a couple grand getting things together and am almost done acquiring parts. I still have some more money to spend fabricating and tuning.

S4 NA rotors. compression should be high...above 100 at least. I had it rebuilt less than 8000 miles ago.

No way you'll get 400whp out of that, and you'll blow it up when you go lean.
I'm not trying it gate, it's the truth.

yep:

a) not enough fuel
and
b) definitely not enough turbo...

i guess some people just don't get that a turbo has limitations and boost pressure alone doesn't make it.

Alright Folks, I ditched the idea of 6 port turbo since the spare engine wasn't in the best shape and I didn't have much confidence.

So I took a gamble and bought a JDM S5 TII Engine/Trans from ebay and I lucked out. So I tore it down. All this mods on my car was possible because of the members in this forum. this is a one man show.

thanks to aaroncake, rotaryevolution, AGreen, TougeMonster ,misterstyx69,j9fd3s etc. [lot more]... for answering my questions.

definitely lucked out, looks like you got an actual low mile jspec that wasn't stored at the bottom of a lake. looks good.

if you care to you could list the supplier for anyone else who is looking.
