20b FC
Finally moving on to a 3 rotor motor in my old black 87 FC.
I bought the 20b engine in a partially assembled shell from another forum member.
Initially it failed a compression test. 4-5 hours of work with ATF brought it back from the dead and it comp tested ok in the end.
Engine did come with some good parts, triple plate clutch, rails for top feeds and bosch 044's.
A few pics of the initial progress.
The 20b came with a prefabbed mount kit and solid mounts, that probably worked for a 2 rotor cosmo, but they left the 20b intake sitting over an inch higher than the hood line. I turned the solid mounts down 3/4 of an inch, and re milled the slots in the brackets to drop the motor enought to get 1/2" of clearance between the intake and intake, and still have a 1/4" between the oil pan and manual rack.
The engine is fitted with the stock transmission, but I prefitted the sequential six speed to test the adapter plate fitment.

Made an adapter for the 20b throttle body and made the intake pipe for the existing intercooler in the car which is large Trust intercooler.
I roughed in the rad and fan mounts, I havent decided on an oil cooler setup yet.
The engine came with a T88-34d, which is a little smaller than the T51rkai I had on the 13brew in the car, it apparently did 519rwhp, I wanted more than that, so I have replaced the T88 with a HKS turbo.
The alternator was dirty so I had it nickel plated.

Charge pipe and new HKS turbo installed on Vband adapter.
Ordering some parts now to build the downpipe , oiling system, and put the fuel system together.
I want to simplify my fuel system, probably going to run the Apexi GTR pump in the car.
