Maybe it's just me but the rebuild this time around seems to have gone much quicker. Engine is back in the car, trans is mounted up, pretty much everything is plugged in and hooked up. Still got a few more things to do before I start it up but it's probably about 90% ready to go again. Then paint or wrap comes soon, can't wait to have a car that's 1 color for the first time since owning it.

Car is back on the ground and running/driving now. Build went well, most of the time was just spent waiting on parts. Still gotta assemble my interior and figure out what color to do for paint/wrap. Ordered a couple samples so I can see in person what I'm getting myself into for colors.

Hey this is awesome!
I had a couple of questions because I have the same turbo and I've had trouble finding info on it due to its age.
1. Do you know what oil drain line adapter was used on the turbo? Mine is currently a modified one that is super sketchy
2. Is the turbo blanket universal or specific to the turbo?

Hey, thanks dude!
The oil drain line adapter looks like just a custom made one with the AN fitting welded on, it was already on the car when I bought it so I don't have much info for it.
The turbo blanket is just a universal one, you just gotta find the right size!

Not much left to do on the car other than make it all 1 color, I have color samples on the way so I can figure out what I want.
I installed my Sparco harness today, kinda sketchy though cause I don't have a harness bar or cage yet so it's definitely temporary.
Drove it a little bit just around my shop parking lot in the snow.
Also came up on a new (to me) set of wheels so I'll most likely sell my RPF1's. Or just keep them around as spares still, idk yet.

Drove the car a bunch more, did a little sideways turn arounds in my parking lot at the shop just to test it out before I get it to any track/drift days this year. So far so good.

Haven't done much lately on the RX7, went on a trip and sold all my cool wheels. I still have my Blitz wheels and my Advans though. Just gotta buy tires for them all and get my car wrapped so it's all 1 color finally. Coming soon-ish

The time is about here to figure out what color I want my car to be and I still mostly have no idea. I wanted to do white at first but I'm not going to anymore. Red? Yellow? Gray?

Also, here's my newest video.

Time for another rebuild! Coolant was leaking in and drowning out the spark plugs. Wouldn't stay running on it's own and eventually wouldn't even start anymore. Time to replace the water seals. Also noticed one of the small corner pieces of my 2 piece apex seals was broken in half. Still in place but when I pulled it out of the rotor it came out in 2 pieces. Very strange. So replacing the apex seals as well now.

I wish the 240 was mine. It'd be nice to have a car that just works all the time.

Spent some time tracking an intermittent power cut issue that disguised itself as several other issues along the way. Replaced the CAS, wideband o2 sensor, and eventually found that one of the bolts on my battery terminal was stripped that held a couple power cables from the ECU harness on so they were jigglin around. Tightened them up just to see and it seems to have taken care of my problems. Now I just need to replace the battery terminal piece so it's not stripped.
