Is It Worth It?

Friend's willing to sell me his 1980 RX-7. Needs engine, clutch cylinders, starter, and basically everything else minus the wiring harness and transmission. He wants like $200 for it, is it worth it? I've asked some people, but it's a 50/50 of people saying "if you have the money. yes" and "no, it's too much work and time for its worth". So, what do you guys think?

imo, you could probably part it out and make a profit, it just all depends on what you are looking to do

i'd say $200 is fair if the wheel wells and control arm mounts are not rotten.

Rust is not easily fixed...

You'll have fun if nothing else; go for it.

The interior was stripped from everything aside from the seats and dashboard because my friend's friend (who owned the car before my friend) used it for racing. The paint is faded, and there is very little rust on it. Aside from that, there is no body damage aside from a few little dings.

I plan on making it run and possibly using it as a daily driver.

Sounds like it worth it then. If you change your mind later or realize it's more work than you want to get into, you'll easily get your money back out of it.

Interior is a red metal (floors, doors, "trunk's" floor, etc), seats are a black half leather. half cloth.
