WA V8 1980 RX7 question?

Say I do end up buying my friends 1980 RX7, but I can't find a rotary engine (there's only one RX7 in my local junkyards), are there any V6 or V8 engines that will basically drop right in on the stock mounts?

Wrong section.. I don't believe it's that simple. Look at kits from granny's speed shop.

I will try, found some engines. One person doesn't know what the motors condition is, let alone how to check for compression, which worries me a little...; another guy I found has one he wants $100 for, rear rotor he says is receiving ZERO compression, would that be a flattened spring or completely blown apex seals? I will see if he will let me take the exhaust manifold off to check for scoring.
