Seattle-se Build pic heavy
I have had a few Fb's over the last ten years, a black '82, a gold '83, and now a persimmon red '85 SE. I am slowly building up and modding my SE. I have tons of ideas of what i want to do to it. It started out stock, and the motor was still original getting a little old i decided to pull it and rebuild it. I street ported the irons before putting it all back together. Once i got her running well, I started looking for some after market wheels. I stumbled on some SSR Reverse Mesh. I looked around for a while and found a set the fronts are 15x7 offset +12 and the rears 15x7.5 offset of -3. They weren't in the best of condition and the fronts were gold and the rears silver so I figured I would restore them. I had to change to Illuminas (set on 5) and RB springs just to hold my car up and keep the wheels from rubbing. I soon hope to get the ground control front set up (coils and camber plates). I have been looking around for alternative rear suspension options a coil over or something like that. there were a few options for a coil over set up but they required custom fab to work. so i thought if I am going to fabricate something I want it to be cool. I found a civic guy that had done a cantilever suspension for his rears using CBR 600RR rear shocks that he picked up on ebay. Before I go too heavily into building my suspension I am going to restore my wheels. I pulled them off last week, pulled them apart and began to bead blast them.

Got a couple updates since I last posted. I have gotten the ground control front weld on coilovers I went with 400# springs, they are all welded up and feeling good! The only problem I have with my front suspension is that the illuminas are pretty much bottomed out. i plan on doing what DMclean did with his. what he did was take 2" strut tubes and get the koni 8610's for the front. I also got bored one day so I made some new badges for my car. I modeled them after the old 1936 logo. The triple "M" stands for Mazda motor manufacturing.
Below I have pictures of the front and rear badges I made, and my coilovers before with the racing beat springs and then after with the ground control coils.
