since my other build thread is kinda all over the place.... and this is done, well, on the road... figured i'll make another for this swap specifically.

Car was bought 8 years ago with 104k miles on it for $1200, 1985 GS (no sunroof!!) all stock. i had it for a few years and got my gf a '79 LE with a bad motor, so i gave her my stockport 12a with some 44phh on it or something and i built a half bridge 13b s4 na. all was good until i slit an oil line (from my stupid FMOC). no oil pressure gauge... yeah yeah live n learn. welllll RIP to that engine

Got a PPORT from a buddy built by pineapple racing. was cool, but too racey lol shook the whole car... wanted to be WOT or idling, in between would just jerk you, BLEH, no fun for a street car. So my buddy totalled his 2000 S2000 driving with no insurance or registration... in i come buying it for $1k !! parted it out for about $1500 and kept the engine/trans.

Custom subframe and i had to cut and remake the steering arm to clear the pan, trans mounted up almost perfect... it was pretty close. custom driveshaft to my GSL rear w/ either 4.44 or 4.77 in it - i honestly dont remember but my gearing runs out real quick lol i wanna swap to 4.11's or 3.90's
so engine in, i got a haltech platinum since that's what i have in my R32 GTR and like it...
car just got tuned last night. it's a riot

custom exhaust... yeah its dumb idc. NA miata Tuckin' 99 flares, Pacifica(? maybe?) side skirts, bassett racing wheels, the diffuser was from a NA miata as well, T3 coilovers on all corners w/drop brackets rear and camber plates and roll centers up front.
side note on wheels - for the TII brakes up front i used a 4lug FC donor hub to keep the car 4lug, but as you all know that's 4x114.3 and my rear is a gsl so 4x110... SO on the rear i have 1" spacer adapters from 4x110 to 4x100 (bc miata wheels) and on the front im running 4x114 to 4x100

some old momo corsa steering wheel with a porsche center cap, production date was 03/88 so period correct

Custom rear upper strut bar
Autopower 4 point loop bar
some thick *** front sway bar
ST rear sway
turbo II front conversion for the 4pot brakes

i have a RB tri brace but it wont clear the engine idk what ima do with it

when i was 20 and dumb i thought the stock seatbelts were dumb... i took em out, sold em i think so if anyone has complete GRAY good condition seatbelts, like everything... even the clickers on the trans tunnel, LET ME KNOW PLEASE

August bump! i got some rock racing 14" wheels up front i was able to fit over the TII brakes, so that's cool.

pulled the louvers... thought it was getting to be looking too ricey lol

This thing is badass man! I'm usually a purist when it comes to keeping old rotaries as rotaries but I love the swap. Any sound clips or roller videos?
