Found my cord. Here are some pics for all of you.

My baby being towed. Took 8 1/2 hours to move my car 175 miles and through 2 countries. lol. Fun times.

The engine electrical all mocked up and ready to be sleeved.

Sleeved and reinstalled. I'm going to redo a couple of small things but its fine for now.

The main connectors. From left to right: Misc. engine electrical, Ignition, Transmission, and Brake fluid level.

Tested the starter and it works but its not engaging the flywheel and is making a horrible screeching noise. Gonna pull it tomorrow and see If I can find the issue. I also finished rerouting the main harness for the wire tuck. More pictures tomorrow as well maybe.

Got my radiator today. I also did a bit more with the wiring and painted my steering column and installed the steering box for I hope the last time. I got the starter working properly as well. Here is a couple pics.

Radiator installed with new hoses. Still need to get some new hose clamps. Something like the originals or better. I hate the worm screw type.

Getting the wires tucked up out of the way. Still need to extend a few wires for the ignition and wrap it all up. If somebody has a spare harness they are willing to hack up I'd be willing to buy some wires for my extensions and to keep original coloring.

I have most of a wiring harness for sale. It is everything from the firwall back and I'm selling it for $30 plus shipping. https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-rx-7-1979-1985-parts-101/1983-gsl-extra-929838/page9/

I can take a pic of it if you want.

Big update. I finished up the wiring for the ignition, got the FPR mounted, got the fuel lines run, rebuilt and painted the brake master, and got the car to start. I'm having some trouble getting her to idle on her own and shes running rough, but shes running. Here are a couple pics of how shes looking right now.

I really need to get around to finishing the bed liner.

Got the car back together and idling on her own. Shes still running rough but I have to wait for my timing light and a couple other things to show up before I can start tuning. I'm also gonna pick up a can of carb dip. Here is a video I took today. Its kinda hard to tell but if you listen close you can kind of here the miss. My fuel pressure gauge also decided to crap out on me. I'll be sending Jegs an email tomorrow.

Not sure how to post the video.

Ok. I haven't updated in awhile. I swapped carbs, so now I'm using the Nikki that came on the original 12A. I was rebuilt and the intake was modified to work with the Nikki so I gave it a try. It ran smoother and would start up a lot better after I got it tuned a bit. I adjusted the timing and that also evened it out some, but I cant adjust the trailing timing. No matter what I do it doesn't change unless I adjust the leading. They are both set the same. I also got a wideband AFR gauge and a Boost/Vacuum gauge to help with tuning. I haven't been able to do much lately because my neighbors were complaining about the noise. Had a mishap while trying to jack the car up. It slipped off the jack and destroyed my new radiator and the drivers side radiator bracket. I have a new radiator now and Jeff20B was kind enough to donate the bracket to the cause. Got a bonez race pipe and a mid-pipe from an 84-84 (also donated by Jeff20B), but the race pipe seems to have the wrong angle on the flange that bolts to the manifold. When bolted on by itself it hits the drive shaft. Maybe there is a difference in the manifolds between 83 and 84-85. I replaced the pitman arm. Broke 3 pullers, but I got it. lol. Next time it goes to a shop. Replaced the front calipers and pads. One of the originals was seized so I went ahead and replaced both just to be sure they were good. I ordered the front big brake kit and race coilover kit from Re-Speed, as well as braided stainless body line and front brake lines for the TII calipers. I have one of the calipers rebuilt and ready for paint and one of the coilovers is ready to be welded up. I'll be finishing the other ones this week and have them all ready to be taken in next pay check. I'll also be ordering the springs next check. Only things needed now are to figure out the exhaust and get the brakes bled. Thats pretty much all I can think of for now. I'll try to keep this more up to date.

I know how much you all love pictures so I have some from my recent project. I also have some news. Good and bad. Good news first. I got to take my baby for a test drive and she ran great. Now the bad news. My right front caliper is leaking at the line. All front brake components are new so I'm not sure why its leaking. Not really a big deal as its a small leak and the brakes are only temporary until I can get my coilovers and big brakes finished next month. Also while driving the car I ran out of gas and sucked up the sediment so I have to clean out my fuel system. My recent project comes from the need to clean out the fuel system. I figured I would start at the front and work my way back, so I cleaned the filter before the carb and pulled the carb. I opened up the carb and cleaned it out. I figured I might as well strip it down and disable the choke springs since I no longer have the automatic choke system. I was also looking at some pictures of sterling nikkis and had a carts carb sitting around and decided to have some fun.

Started cleaning and doing some polishing.

I also trimmed off the tubes for the OMP. It sure makes a difference to not have all those obstructions in the way.

I still have to flush out the rest of the fuel system and clean the pre-pump filter.

I bought a new FPR and gauge from summit because my Pressure gauges from Jegs kept going out and the other FPR was the wrong unit for the Nikki. I have 1 small fuel leak to fix this weekend. Should only take a couple minutes to do. I haven't been able to drop my gas tank to inspect it because my jack doesn't lift the car high enough. I'll probably borrow my bosses soon. I also bought some Tokico Illuminas for my coilovers. I should be taking those in this weekend to get welded. I don't trust my welds enough. lol. Only thing I need now are the springs and to get my tires mounted and balanced. Will probably get all that done next pay check. I installed water temp. voltage, and oil pressure gauges as well. I don't like to run my engine if I don't know whats going on with it. They are only temporary though. They were relatively cheap and they function. Which is more than the stock gauges do. lol. I'll see about getting the fuel gauge working when I drop the tank. Another problem I've run into is that when the accelerator pump is activated that the nozzle does not shoot 2 streams of fuel, but kind of just dribbles. Can anybody think of any reason for this? Thats it for now. Hopefully I will have more to update this weekend.

Well I spent my weekend trying to get things working right. I fixed the fuel leaks and did a little bit of interior work. I got it running better and readjusted the timing so I decided to take it for a drive. Added 5 gallons of gas and some 2 stroke and away I went. Went around the neighborhood once and it ran great. Went home, had some lunch, and went out for another drive got halfway around the neighborhood and it died. Started right back up and ran for about 15 seconds and died again. Called my friend for a tow and got a police escort back home. lol. For some reason the carb is not getting enough gas. If I let the pump fill the bowls it will idle for about 15-20 seconds then the bowls go empty. Anybody know if an '83 has an in-tank filter? I guess I'll find out when I get around to dropping the tank.
