Ah the Joy of NOS parts
Nice bottle - OEM or where did you get it? Need one too - mines looking its age...
Hear you on the spoiler - yours is certainly more subtle. Make sure you rust-protect whatever holes you drill or it will rust like a bastid. POR15 works wonders. Likewise it will need to be completely sealed so water doesn't leak into your rear deck ;p

Stu, I just looked up the invoice for the washer bottle. Mazda Part No. 0317-67-511A , list price 22.49C$, they gave to me for 17.99C$

It has a removable tray under it for "spillage" and a BIG GULP attachment for one of the holes . Happy searchin'

2. The tape player will go on but not play . It just clicks direction changes constantly. I think it needs new rubber bands on the motors inside . I am going to to take it out next winter and try to fix . Also try and hook up the MP3 player DIN plug accessory in the back spare one for the 8-track player option they put in the upgraded Clarion units in the limited edition's. see this thread below for that. My radio and antenae work but only one channel and antennae doesn't go down. Again, next winters project to update on this thread. I think its all fixable. Just never had the time before.

3. don't know , you'd have to look into . i imagine one of the usual first gen ebay stores sellers would have one to sell
Thanks for sharing that info. I found a new Mazda cupholder, installed it and love it! My tape player does the same thing as yours. Haven't looked into the cause yet. Until then, I'll keep listening to my iPod through the radio. Regarding the blower, I called Advance and they are still available. Now I just have to make time to swap the motor out.

^^^^ the cup holder is a great improvement ...... way better than a usless place for ashes.

couldn't resist posting last pics before the suspension work ... a couple close up shots

next week the car will be a little lower ..... ReSpeed coil over kit and springs going on next week , 200 front and 125 rear . next pics should be 1" lower.

well I Got the ReSpeed front and rear coil overs installed this summer ( at RPM) and its lowered an inch ( now 13" F&R from center of cap to fender rim). Rides on rails and sits real nice at this setup . No binding noise anywhere in the Watts linkage and rides like it on rails . It definately jars a bit on rough roads and gotta go slow over speed bumps .

I really like the 125 rear and (7") 200 front rate I went with in the pictures below. Four new Tokico Blues were added as well .

UPDATE

While I plan to reupholster the beat up , ripped stock Limited cloth seats one day , I have been thinking of putting something in temporarily while I get around to that . I found these one yr old Ronin syn- leather racing seats from another forum member who took them out of his SA.

They were put on the stock seat rails this week . WOW, I really like them . They hug you tight like my Respeed suspension upgrade and don't think they look out of place in the car.

yea thats the plan . might be hard to find the right cloth , but I'm in no rush to find it . I've had the stock seats covered up with cheap black polyester seat covers for three years anyway.

These Ronin's will do nicley until that happens

Well it was a nice day today so I took a few more shots with a new camera ..... a Lumix 10X zoom that has amazing close up focus ability .

Also needed a little boost as I Hit a racoon last night and smashed the air dam ( DAMN !!) see first pic . So its back to stock SA front . Still looks good

Very nice car. I am getting my LE started. Where did you find the side rubbers for the bumpers?

Bought some on ebay . In ebay stores there is a guy who sells a lot of miscellaneous used rx7 parts . Apex Auto Parts . straight up seller

you are unlikely to find NOS parts, but you may find some very good condition used ones. You may also find someone on the forum in parts for first gen section who has some

I sold this car a couple years ago and have a new 79 T2 project car on the go . More fun than always feeling guilty about wanting to change the Limited from stock

Thanks for the info. I am too new to be allowed into the parts section. I will try to find Apex Auto.
