Hey guys,

I need some help here, I have an 82 and the 4 bolts that mount the engine to the RB engine mount seem to be stripped out. I was driving one day and noticed as i revved the engine my shifter **** would kick over about 6 inches, to find out all but 1 bolt fell out of the front cover that attatches to the engine mount. The guy i bought this car from seemed to know his RX's but after having the car 6 months i continue to find thing done the wrong way and its costing me. So is there anything i can do to fix this outside of trying to get a new front cover?

 

If the holes are striped you could tap the holes for threaded inserts

 

Try finding some studs from an SA. Turn them in until the unthreaded shoulder gets tight inside the holes.
