father son project
Worked yesterday on airpump and valve removal and made a blockoffplate but left lines running under car alone.Car started right up and after warming up for a while I got it Idling about 700 so I drove up the road and it ran really good but had very loud roar coming from underneath,so after looking and checking everything I found that the exhaust heat shield was rubbing driveshaft so i fixed that and roar was gone and car was pretty quiet.Today is raining but im hoping to get to do some more rewiring.
I had never owned a '7' before or driven this one of my dad's (he never let me), but when I got it running again and took off in it I fell in love with it. These cars are addictive!

............Today when rain let up We fitted the electric fan that came off a ford escort from pullapart and while Son was bolting it on I removed the starter and found selinoid to be going bad so called around and advanced wants forty and change for one so called Orilieys and they said 15 and change and will be in store monday..We still have alot of rewiring to do and I will probably do that when Son is at college during the week so I can concentrate more..

Both Ignitors are reading off the same pickup.I removed the other pickup.Mech advance is cooroded locked but idles as low as You want too goo and revs smooth past 6k but will fine tune this set up later.
