Oh also should mention that the side skirts were test fitted and after chopping the hell out of them so they would fit, it was decided to ditch them altogether. This is ok as I already have my back up plan in place. The front and rear bumpers will still have the kit installed, just not the sides. Dont freak out, it will still look ok.

Small update and more pics because I know everyone likes to see the progress happen.

Right door needed to be shimmed some to make fit properly after replacing. There were some shims before but added some more to get the gaps better. I have replaced both doors and left fender. The first pics are of the reasons why the doors are getting changed over. The right door has a lot of filler in it and the left door has extensive damage. It "looks" ok but upon further inspection the door skin was actually pressed up against the side impact bar. Not just glued to it like normal but pressed against it to where you could see the impact bar pressing out.

Note under the body line in the door there seems to be another body or style line. This should not be there. It is the side impact bar poking out saying hi.

 

Another update!!! After almost 5 years my car is STILL tore apart but I'm back in the game sort of. Lets see, since last time - had child, boy, now 4. Roommate moved out, have changed jobs 2x now working for USPS. My son has never seen my car in other than how it looks in pics. What wasn't posted way back before was that I got the engine bay painted but messed it up. Now that its been so long, I care less about how good the engine bay looks since really once the engine, trans, wiring, extra plumbing for nitrous, etc is in there you're not really going to see the bad paint job under there nor will I really be showing it off to anyone that would really care anyways.
