LMAO, yup you actually color coded them...you may want to see someone about that. The benefit though is your car will be built meticulously and most probably without much fault. The end product should be fun man. Best of luck to you. I’ll keep up with your thread.

ATM it looks like 32 Kg pile of copper wires, lead round ball ammo, zinc wheel weighs, and ingots of tin next to an unforged 60cm long steel tube. lol But next month the forge will be ready and the wax plug will be assembled.

Did the kitchen remodel bring as many grins as the Camaro?

So what transmission/rear are you looking at using? I have a buddy who wants to buy my old 79 and swap in a 5.7 LS engine from a late 90s camaro. Pardon my V8 ignorance I'm not too knowledgeable about years and displacements and their corresponding names.

Have you seen my car? Let me know if you need any help with the LT1. Nice job on removing the wiring, I did the same thing on my engine harness. The engine bay looks great, I will do that one day after I stitch weld and smooth it

The kitchen was nowhere near as fun as the Camaro, but I'm renting that house out now, so the work I did to that house pays me every month IN CASH

I picked up a Tremec 6-speed (T56) with a hurst short throw shifter, clutch, pedals, hydraulics and was actually able to sell the unneeded stuff for a couple hundred bucks on ebay. I'm going to use the stock rear end. I think the gearing is where I would want it, and I'm not planning on beating the **** out of it or getting slicks so it should be o.k.

Freeskier: I've been following your build on several forums! I have thought about doing this swap for quite a while, but the video of yours starting/running is what pushed me over the edge and got me buying parts. I pretty much copied your modified oil pan, which saved me a couple hundred bucks too....soooo thanks!! I also wanted to use the 12a "low oil level" sensor since the chevy sensor functions opposite and I thought it might save the soul of this beast! Then I sand blasted the pan and painted it, but I can't find the painted picture at the moment.

Glad I could help! nice idea integrating the 12A sensor. I was pretty green when I pulled the 12A and really wish now I would have kept alot of those sensors to integrate into the new engine. Let me know if you need any more info,

Got the new master cylinder in. I ended up going with a Wilwood 1" bore. Fits nice and snuggly next to the brake booster. I had to open up the hole in the firewall and the pedal-mount just a smidge for it to fit. I did notice that the clutch pedal was starting to get a little "crunchy" before I took the 5-speed out, and it looks like this bushing was to blame. The shipping on the bushing was more than the bushing itself so I ordered a few extra if anybody needs one.....

That's the same master cylinder I have. I really like the feel of it with the stock slave cylinder. I have a pretty stiff clutch but it feels nice and smooth and not too much effort.

Are you running a t56 too? Which clutch are you using? I have a 2k mile oem replacement clutch (looks like new) that came with my trans, but I've been thinking about getting something different. I was looking for your build thread, don't think I found the right one..... (edit: nevermind, I found your build thread. I was originally looking at the first one that ended in 2010, not sure how I missed the one with 20 pages and 40k views, haha! Nice car man!! That is some AMAZING workmanship in that thing!!)
