Not sure how this is panning out for you yet... But, by the looks of it (and that's a dangerous thing for sure!) you're out two fenders, header panel front bumper, valence, vents, bumper shocks and lights, light covers and maybe a few more things. When my car was stolen, and I recovered it, I ended up getting the insurance money because it was a total. Not a biggie for me, no plans to ever sell the car and I have all the paperwork to back up the salvage title if it was ever needed. I just put the $ back into the car, and had more fun with it. Hope you get it sorted out quickly. Totally sucks that happened.

Going to be keeping the car and repairing it. Settled with the insurance company today after plenty of going back and forth before we reached a acceptable value. What I learned is that in WA they do not total cars more then 8 years old anymore so I do not need to worry about a rebuild title. I'm going to need quite a few replacement parts but I look forward to the challenge.

here is a picture of my memorial day 450 mile roundtrip to eastern WA, before all this insurance mess I was in the process of changing the finish on the wheels. Only the rears are done yet. What do you think?

found a pretty decent front bumper off a wrecking yard car, $40. It's white so i need to paint it.

I also put the MR2 Koni yellows on the front and lowered the car a little further the glandnut totally doesn't fit and one of the upper hat swivel barrings was destroyed so I will need to pull it back appart once I track those parts down.

Any one have ideas where I can find a glandnut to fit the Koni shocks, unfortunately they did not come with one in the box.

Replaced the swivel hat barrings, strut housing glandnuts and spherical camber plate barrings. Steering is much smoother and I have eliminated the clunking shopping cart sound when hitting bumps in the road.

car is coming along great. I drove it 400 miles to the Ocean and back, did some mandatory mischief at the Pacific ocean, now I need to spray the bottom of the car off since it's covered in sand

RX7 is still running strong, no issues with the engine oil since I sorted out how to route the crankcase ventilation correctly.

I had a great summer driving it around with the sunroof removed and the nardi wheel and stuff. Didn't take many photos or anything since it's now got a white bumper and a crunched fender. I still love the car but lost a little interest in going fast in it, I guess I'm getting old. Now the weather is turning wet and cold so I bought a BMW with little knowledge of bimmers. Hah oops at least I can get away with parking like an *** and not using my turning signals.

3rd day owning it I took it apart because it was eating coolant, cylinder head is cracked in multiple places. ****, oh well I need to track down a replacement but in the mean time I can drive the FB so life is good.

I enjoyed the 80 or so miles I drove it so far. Right at about 24mpg with how slow I drive it. Once the cylinder head is replaced it should be a decent daily, looking at about $1,200 or so to fix her up. I wanna refinish the wheels and get them looking nice again but that isn't a priority at the moment. From what I have seen the BMW is very straight forward, I haven't any issues so far wrenching on the thing.

technically my FB was a total loss. I was required to buy back the FB and file for a new title. In WA state though my car isn't worth enough ($8k) to change the title status so it is still clean title with a accident reported now.

Once I get the cylinder head installed on the BMW I can go back to working on the FB
Tie rods, handbrake cable and wiper motor are the next on the FB list. In the mean time I started to restore the style 5's from the bimmer.

here is a picture of the progress.

Got the bimmer fixed early December, been driving that which is lucky because day of my last final at school I went to start my 7 up and the add coolant light was on... Got out and popped the hood to find all the coolant leaked out the water pump housing. Doh! anyways I took it all apart and when I inspected the silicon gasket seal at the housing is was basically metal on metal in areas. Going to re seal her up in the next few weeks and do a oil change.
