Love your build. I was SO SO SO close to picking Mazda Soul Crystal Red for my repaint. I had seen only one other FD painted in it searching around and it looks so fitting on this car. My wife had a Mazda 3 in that same color and it absolutely glows in the sun, so it was a hard decision knowing just how good it looks. I think you made the right choice.
Thanks! I’m very happy with the color, but looking at your beautiful orange car almost makes me wish I went for something more unique. No regrets but your car is immaculate as well.
Great build man! Not that many of us FDs in philly area.
There are a lot more of us than you would think! I'm out in West Chester and I know of more than 10 that are regularly driven right around me. There are even a few others that I have seen multiple times around the area, but have yet to meet the owner in person.

That’s awesome to hear. Guess I just need to stop hanging out with Chevy guys and find some more JDM friends
Really enjoying this build thread, and love the color choice - is that the current Mazda soul red? Always wondered how it would look on an FD, and it looks great on yours!
BTW, I'm somewhat local to Westchester PA, and if you didn't already know, there's a really good cars & coffee at the Northbrook Marketplace near Westchester on PA rt. 842 every Saturday morning. That C&C has a great variety of cars, from Model T's to classics/muscle cars & lots of Porsche's and more exotic sports cars, and it's a respectful & mature group - no idiots in Mustangs doing burnouts or crashing into bystanders! I'll frequently bring my FD or FC out there, as getting there & back is a nice back-roads drive from Elkton, MD. On a nice sunny day, plan on getting there early (like before 7:30) because the lot will fill up fast.

Thanks! Yep we replicated Mazda’s soul red, I would love to bring the car out to Westchester some time though it seems to be on the opposite end of Philly from me, thanks for letting me know about it.
Thanks! And thanks for selling me the Nardi steering wheel, looks fantastic in my car, and all the buttons work perfectly!

Nope, actually if you look closely you can see the new paint stops at a certain point but they did a really good job with it so you can’t really tell unless you are trying to see it.
Not much work has happened on the car as of late, but I have been getting it out a bunch, here’s a photo dump from the past month or so:
Warrington Exotics car meet RX7 on the left is practically bone stock and in mint condition with 130k miles, it is certainly in better shape than my car which has 50k fewer miles! RX7 on the left is same as in the previous pic. RX7 on the right has only 17k original miles! Saw them at the New Hope meet. New Hope/Solesbury car show
