MT Time to start fresh

Hey guys.
Im just getting started on a rebuild for my 94 and I'm going to need all the help you guys can provide... I'll start by giving you my intentions.
I'm NOT getting crazy with this motor. All i want is a slightly better than stock daily driver. I plan to remove the air pump and clean up the vac lines, and i've already ported the wastegates to try and kill the boost creep i have with the Apexi intake, Pettit SS DP, and Racing Beat exhaust (installed by the previous owner). I'd like to keep stock boost levels, or possibly raise by only 1-2psi (thoughts?). This car will never see a track, unless you're talking about the interstate or a highway to whip the little kids in their civics. I'd be surprised to see anything at or over 300RWHP, and that's just fine for a daily driven car that doesn't weigh anything

First was removal, which wasn't as bad as it could have been, short of missing the bolts through the clutch so the motor wouldn't come loose...

Now is the harder part. I'm in the process of tearing down the motor, and i'll be the first to admit, I'm new to a rotary. We've built a procharged 350Z, which has since then turned into a built motor with Greddy twins on it making in the neighborhood of 500RWHP, but that's apples and oranges.

SO! I'm going to have questions for you guys, and i hope you're patient with me (which i have all the faith in the world you will be).

First question: I'm cruising through the classifieds and find a set of 1 piece 3mm ceramic seals. Are these going to be good or bad? I've read threads going either way. Keep in mind, not a race car...

Second: Power FC? I'd like to upgrade the computer to be able to handle anything i'd like to throw at it and be able to tune it safely (primarily to get rid of that **** fuel cut). This seems like an expensive option, but also the best. Other options to achieve that goal?

Thats all for now. I'm excited to get started, but i have to admit, i'm a little leery at the same time! You'll probably hear quite a little from me as this project continues, but i'd much rather ask the gurus than go ahead in the dark.

Thanks for your thoughts and opinions in advance!!
