Think it’s time i started a build thread! Gonna post little by little every other day of my progress on this 5 year build so far. Bought this 93 SSM touring model back in 2015 for a steal! Running and AUTOMATIC.....at first. So happened i used to own an ae86 prior to this and was friends with a dude from the 86 community who had this fd. I always wanted an fd and was already searching for one at the time but a lot were so expensive and back then an ae86 wasn't worth as much as then (6k$) as they go for now (12k$+ WTF LOL) and mine was in pristine condition. Apparently they guy got it from a dealer and i asked him if he’s down to sell it to me . He said sure as soon as he gets the pink slip. One day he posted a status update on Facebook saying fd pink slip now in hand, who wants to buy it and immediately i messaged him. I told him i have cash ready and we spoke, he told me a price, a great one too and i didn’t even question if it was manual or auto i was still going to buy it. He said 6000 if you come today, and oh yeah it’s an automatic by the way . I said fine with me i’m on my way. 130k on the odometer with a decently running engine (later found out it was in the 80’s of compression) and smokey twin turbos lol. Took it home anyway i didn’t care i wanted an fd so bad .
