Pics from the broken apex seals after 400km (still in break in period)...





engine ready to be opened to find out the extent of damage.











Quite a lot of carbon on the rotors for a 400km engine





Engine was in a break-in period, no big boost was seen by the car, yet 5 apex seals were damaged.





Clearance issue, or something else?<br/>





Seals were OEM Mazda 2-piece.

So another engine was rebuilt. From this point on it was time for upgrades only and stop receiving advises from people who think they know about rotaries. As my occupation shares nothing with engineering, it was crucial for me to consult the right people, and so I tried to do...

So a few upgrades followed:
- New Greddy boost controller (with Mac solenoid for piece of mind)
- C's short shifter
- New Ohlins DFV suspension
- Recaro RZ carbon kevlar seats
- OEM white 2002 spec gauges
- Carbon interior
- R-magic hand brake and shifter boot
- Greddy fuel pressure gauge

Are you a fan of the Cwest headlights? I would think your car would look better with the stock pop ups.

Well, I was looking for these specific headlights when I was on the market for them. I would agree though with you that the stockers might be more in line with the curves of the car.

Agreed. That's why I put back the stock ones on.
