You want the eshaft key to be a good friction fit. If it isn't going in, you need to see if the keyway is nicked up or the key is. Most times a little careful work with sandpaper will get it to go in its home.
I've had the other end where the key was loose in the keyway. Putting a small burr on the edge of the shaft with a screwdriver and hammer can do the trick. Once the flywheel is installed and the flywheel nut tightened it's not going anywhere.

Update: I've gotten closer to finishing with some FD friends locally and they've started helping me out. I've realized I'm pretty dependant on them to get things done in any manner of time. But none the less I work away little by little. I'll be paying a few of them to come do some larger things with me. I threw a "garage party" and we got the replacement eshaft play spacer in and within limits, closed up and started on the outer motor.
New parts: I finally bought a secondary fuel rail from Rotary Performance, a CJM primary from Turbosource (Turblown) and 2 id2000's, and a Precision 6266 (journal bearing) from a buddy to replace the eBay churbo that came with the bulk engine parts. Plus a new master and slave clutch from Atkins, and OMP plugs. I plan on using a pair of cleaned stock secondaries as primaries for now. I also bought a cleaned us wiring harness from a friend that's set up for ID's. Decided to run an Exedy Stage 3 6-puck sprung hub clutch and lightweight flywheel.
Next: I'd like a name brand wastegate to replace the eBay 50mm on the eBay exhaust manifold. Lol. I've thought about just replacing the diaphragm but the jury is still out on that. I need to focus on buying what will get the car running. I'm going to replace the stock rad with a thiker aluminum one that came with the bulk buy.

I've been convinced to take a little longer and buy really great parts off the bat instead of using the eBay parts I got in the bulk deal with my engine and upgrade later. And rightly so!
Do. It. Right. The first time.
I still need a thick turbo exhaust manifold and down pipe. Bought a few new parts pictured: Tial MVR 44mm with all springs, Fuelab FPR, CJ Motorsports FPR mount, ID1050x primary injectors, Walbro 450, and some fittings.
EDIT: Oh and now I'm going to run CJ Motorsports primary AND secondary fuel rails since Rotary Performance called me and said the rail I bought was discontinued.

Productive trip to Houston today. Bought an older Greddy manifold, turbosmart 50mm wastegate, matching down pipe, and found and FD at a gas station! Woohoo!

Minor progress over the last month. FINALLY bought my Adaptronic ECU, swapping radiators, and put the trans brace on. Going to force myself to work on it this weekend. My friend Billy that's been majorly helping me hasn't been available.

Pulled the fuel pump and hanger out and am extremely lucky that it all looks brand new! Even the tank is shiney and clean. Swapped in the Walbro 450lph pump, installed the simplified wiring harness and Adaptronic, bought a gas jug to fill the tank to flush the lines before connection to the engine, and bought a nice tool chest on sale from Home Depot

2019 update! Put on the new (to me) Greddy (type?) exhaust manifold, and the the turbo which had to be taken apart to get on, cleaned and inspected it, realized the measurement for the oil return line was for my eBay manifold and is now too short and reordered a premade line from ANplumbing again, figured out which fuel line was primary (and got wet), put together a few more fuel lines, ran a new power steering line, mocked up the downpipe and wastegate, mocked up the v-mount. Getting close!

A few minor updates: got engine belts on and uim bolted down. Still having some issue getting the vmount in place an brackets made. Got door cards and gauge shroud!! Cleaned up nicely! Drying, then spot glue, and the VHT vinyl paint matte black to match my interior! Taking the interior partly out to start the battery relocation to the bin. I'll post the link I plan to use which involves minimal cutting. Link: Battery Relocate by Billy Roetman | PhotobucketFrom forum member Shmacklepap.

Got my bins out and began relocating my battery. No room with vmount. Got my rad and intercooler back from the welder but needs some fine tuning. Bought a Westco battery and waiting for it in the mail. Need to finished grounding and tying the power wire into the system. Still need to figure out a vmount bracket. Initial D for support Also, will be moving to my home state of Florida to Titusville next month and want to have a farewell cruise here in Austin so I need to get this done!

Almost finished relocating my battery. Had to make room for the breaker. My buddy Billy has almost finished up mounting the radiator and intercooler in the vmount configuration. The welder I'm using isn't comfortable welding a vband on to my down pipe because it'll change the angle where it mates to the midepipe. I'll have to deal with that. Had the welder cut down the rad neck. Replaced my thermostat housing with the type that I can attach the FC AST delete neck.
I move out of state (Texas) back to Florida in 9 days. I really want to have it running by then to have a farewell cruise. We'll see.
