Wow...I just reread my own thread to get some motivation and I have to say... what a ******* build!!! Surprises me how much time and patience I had and how a few months seemed so long to me back then. Been a minute since I’ve wrenched on it. Who knows maybe this year? 😂

Who remembers this build? How’s everyone been?

It's almost there! Where you at on Socal? I'm happy to lend a hand.

Anyone know what happened with this car? Fantastic stuff. 2020 wasn't that long ago, hopefully just taking a break from wrenching.

Still got it!! And FINALLY getting finished right now with the help of my friend Justin. I don’t spend any time in these forums anymore but feel like I owe an update here and there…so will figure out a way to post pictures in the near future. Stay tuned!

PS: does any one have any suggestions on rear wing set up? I was thinking custom swan neck struts (or standard struts) chassis mounted in the corners of the trunk area with quick release pins….

You might consider reaching out to Chris Johnston on Facebook. I know he has some kind of chassis mount solution for the wing pylons. Super Now has something that might work, or at least give you an idea on mounting. https://www.rhdjapan.com/super-now-f...rx-7-fd3s.html

I'll likely use pins for mounting when I have mine drawn up one of these days. Might also want to take into consideration the relationship between leverage (aft of the rear axle) and how you can actually increase the amount of downforce on it while experiencing less drag than you would by increasing the rake of the wing.

Jesus dude, I'm new here but this has been a hell of a build. I just read the whole thing and I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for you to finish it.

Have you done any time attack since?
