UH-OH!!! I believe that I am finally able to post pics. I have been trying ALL week and had NO success. Oh well.

Here she is, (please have a tissue or 2 handy!) The Exedy Twin Disk.... Cerametallic. Non-carbon. Same ones many of these 20B shop cars are running. It should work, right?

Hopefully I can find a socket for the flywheel nut. So far, I haven't had any luck. I will find one. Hopefully I can have the engine/clutch/tranny in the car this weekend! This car has come a LONG way since I first got her. She was in great shape in the beginning, but now she'll feel just like a brand new car. Well, on steroids...

Congrats on the build so far. It all looks great.

To make the FW socket easier to find, just pick up a 2 1/8" socket. At least around here when I was asking for that same socket in mm everyone looked at me like I was crazy and said they didn't have one.

You will LOVE that clutch. I have been running it for over two years now and love it. Great clutch.

Thanks man. That is exactly what I did. I purchased a 2 1/8" socket. I had the same reactions here... "What is THAT for??? That's a huge socket!". Yeah, yeah, Flywheel nut on a mazda.

Today SHOULD be productive. I will install the clutch/Flywheel. We'll see how far I get today. More pics tonight!

Everyone on this forum should take anything muibubbles says with a grain of salt (or lots of grains)... someone that ***** things up as much as this guy shouldn't really be giving advice to anyone.

I really like how the build is coming along, everything except for the skull on the side of the car. But the paint looks great!

No, the paint sucks, actually. And the skulls will be replaced with carbon fiber or widebody. Not sure yet.

Yeah, I know where the guy lives that painted my car. I want to go to his house, shoot him between the eyes, and walk away. But you know, those damn laws say we can't do things like that. But painters can charge $3,000 and UP and CAN'T promise you REAL, SHOW quality. oh well. Hopefully my top speeds will remove the paint!

Thanks again guys and if you can think of anything that I am missing, please feel free to let me know. This is my first RX7 build and I am still learning. Oh yeah, please exclude the Walbro fuel pump from my build sheet. I DO have one and originally intended to use it. However, I got a lil crazy with the mods and now I feel the need to jump up to 2 Bosch 044's. Haha, just a lil clarification, so PLEASE don't jump the gun and start telling me how bad I am going to starve her. Cuz I won't. My car gets what she wants. Talk to you guys tomorrow!

Thank you sir! The only things left on my list to buy are:

HKS Twin Power w/ Harness
Apexi PnP 3 bar map sensor
Apexi boost control solenoid
2 Bosch 044 Fuel pumps

And later on, I will need to do Alky/Meth injection. Other than that, next BIG mods will include Big Brake Kit, real nice set of coilovers, and a real nice set of wheels. As soon as I get it running and the clutch is properly broke in at 750 miles, I will prob have Cam at Pettit tune the car. When I have her tuned, I am also going to drop off another one of my engines to be half-bridged. Throughout my years of research, I see that a half-bridge with a turbo like mine, or bigger, responds very well for a street-driven car.

The reason I am going all out like this is because of my addiction. I was KINDA spoiled in my younger years. At 18, I was working on some REALLY nice imports. I started at a shop with a 800 AWHP Evo 8 and I REALLY enjoyed one of our customers' cars. Go to youtube and look up "Clark Supra". When I worked on it, he had a Greddy T67 or T78, don't remember. It was built for Road Atlanta. IIRC, he had around 600-700 to the wheels. That Supra made me crave the speed and boost. At that age, I had an S14 240sx with an SR20DET swap. That was 8 years ago and I was one of the first people in the Southeast with an SR, so don't start talking trash, haha. At that point, I KNEW I had to have my dream car, a 1993-95 Mazda RX7. It took a lot of work and a VERY bad car crash that almost killed me, but I made it. I am SO CLOSE to reaching my dream and it would not be possible without this Forum. I am DEAD serious about that. Thanks again RX7Club. Thanks again.

A couple more parts later, pressure plate setup, drink of water, and here ya go!

You can barely see the second disk hiding back there

Another money shot

This last photo was my pathetic attempt at some kind of artsy photo. Kinda like the sunrise coming up on the Exedy!

Honestly? I have always loved the larger Greddy turbos. When I was trying to choose my ideal turbo setup ('99 twins, BNR twins, GT35R, T04Z, etc) this kit popped up. I purchased it from a fellow member on the forum here. It was a REALLY good price and the turbo is brand new. I guess it was just fate. I had the funds and she really stood out from the crowd. So there she is... haha

Here's a small update...

Cam Jr. from Pettit Racing delivered the Power pulley to me on Monday night.

Mazmart water pump that I purchased from MattGold should be here tomorrow or Friday.

I just purchased the HKS Twin Power from supranak. It should be here within a week.

IRP should have my alternator by now. I should see the new 140amp Alternator soon!

I am still looking for a nice set of Front Lower Control Arms. My ball joints don't look that good and I need some that are MINTY fresh.

Other than that, I am still polishing up bits and pieces and carefully inspecting everything. Good progress so far. I believe I will have her running within a month or so. You really can't comprehend how anxious I am. I have had this car SITTING for 4-5 years. We shall see...
