I sat in my room last Friday and started installing the new powerflex urethane suspension bushings and pillow ball bushings for the rear control arms.

The urethane bushings were fairly easy to install.

The pillow ball bushings on the other hand were a little more work to get in.

This week I installed the powerflex bushings for the front arms along with some new ball joint boot covers.

Took off the old boot covers and wiped off the old grease.

Applied fresh grease on the ball joints and packed the new covers.

All the control arms completed except for the toe link which are still out for powder coating.

Yesterday I went over to my cousin again to soda blast some more parts and today I picked up my toe links, diff brace, and diff mount from powder coating.

Getting ready to install the last set on bushings.

These were a little easier than the toe links.

Finally done with all bushings.

Can't wait to get these on the car

The grease is supposed to go on the inner metal spacer. The grease is not supposed to go on the outer part of the bushing, it is not designed to turn when the suspension compresses. The inner bushing is supposed to turn.

I did apply grease to all the metal spacers but most of the grease came out when inserted into the urethane bushings. The same thing happened to the grease on the outer part of the bushings. From my understanding, if the inner spacer is meant to rotate, why would it not be okay for the entire bushing to rotate? Even if it rotates, the bolts are still stationary keeping the arms and shocks in place except for moving the arms up and down. I asked two of my friends that own local performance shops who have installed and tracked several cars using the method that I've used. They both have not had any problems with their bushings. I also asked Juan from J-Auto (seller of Powerflex bushings) and he said he installs bushings this way without problems also. Have you installed bushings using this method and experienced problems? If so I'm open to any advise.

Thanks.
