Try hitting the bolts with p blaster for a few days first. I wouldn't cut the tray. You'll have to get ye bolts out one way or the other anyway.

Check your plugs. Fuel pressure and compression.
Need all three working.

Got the tray of, most the bolts broke but oh well.

I have fuel, spark and I believe compression new fuel pump and new plugs. The front rotor sounded a bit weak though so it just said whatever I'll rebuild it.

Started pulling the motor before I had to leave to Korea for a few weeks. My plan is to to a street port and efini turbos. Ready to get back to the states so I can get this project back rolling. Ordered a few thing while I been here, brakes brake lines, vacuum hoses.

Just got back to the states yesterday, no time to rest. Got the motor ready to be pulled and put the engine hoist and stand together. Had a bit of trouble with the pilot bearing but got it. Getting late so I will continue work tomorrow.

Yeah I'm in the market for one. Also it has the 3 piece apex seals, are these any good or should I switch to the 2 piece?

Went to Atkins rotary and met everyone there, and ended up getting a tour. I still need a few more parts but money is tight.

I grinded down the angled side of the side seals, do I need to get new side seals or is it going to be fine?

new oil control rings. better to be safe than sorry when rebuilding. it would be a shame to go through the whole process of rebuilding, only to have put used oil control rings in and have them fail within the first 100 miles.

just my opinion

I would have reused mine but one broke on removal which is probably a sign.
