I love your car, I had actually read your thread about 5 times, including looking (or drooling) at your pictures before i got my car. Just replaced my radiator, and found out that my turbos are leaking a decent amount of oil, so I am hoping to head in the same direction that you did with the td05's since i have had a decent obsession with them since the td04's on my VR4 gave me such a run for my money.
How much custom fitting was there to get the 05 twins in? That was actually my plan too before i got my car, and your car sealed the deal for me

it really does...but its that way with any build i've realized

and i might not even get the car tuned till sometime in the summer

as soon as its running its going straight to the body shop!! i might not get to drive it and feel what this setup can do for the next couple months!!

i really appreciate the complements man, it helps push me along to get the car done

I was lucky enough to find an original Re-Amemiya manifold made specifically for this setup, but even still there was some cutting and re-working that needed to be done

space ends up getting really tight on that side of the motor, i say go for it, in theory this is probably the best setup you can do for a rotary

if you have a fabricator thats really good, then its just about how much money you're willing to spend

Yeah i probably will go that way, i'm really hoping too anyways. Where did you pick up your turbos from? Ive been hearing mixed reviews on where/what to get so hearing from someone who actually is satisfied is always a good thing

I may have to pick up a pair of stock turbos for the time being before I can actually get the TD05h, which is fine still. I'll have to scour the forums and ... whatever else i can find, to be as lucky as you to fall across the manifold for it haha

Where did you find yours?

While I wait for you to respond i'll think of as many more questions to ask you as i can haha jk bro

i got a great deal on the turbos so i sort of settled for these, ideally i would like to have a set of Dual Ball Bearing units

it also kind of worked out nicely for me thought because i realized a couple days ago that my entire car except the Apexi PFC and the HKS exhaust is all Greddy parts

the manifold i found at SP Engineering out in California...as soon as i heard they had one, i bought it the next day hahaha

go ahead and ask all the questions you want buddy, believe me i spent a good 2 years of asking questions to figure out how to make all this happen the right way

If I tjink of more I will haha just gotta decide what I wanna do with it. There's like 50% of me that wants to just go crazy drop money on the car get it built etc paint it and have it perfect. Then theres the realistic half haha workin on finding some ce28ns for it now. Or a really well made knock off haha

loll too true, was pretty funny finding that out. But on a side note.. that BoV is completely out of bounds. i love it !

PS: got a Dyno Tune date of 16 Feb 2012....lets see what these twins will do. and we really should try and get an article!

lol you guys are awesome. i actually plan on getting a Gopro for the tune, because i'll be hitting up the Udrift track in Vegas Saturday sooooo.. might as well do it real big.

But as for the manifold no, i have different setup from VJ, but its similar(that makes no sense at all lol.) but im running twin GT2860RS's. my goal is response and torque..im also running stock ports sooo we'll see how it goes . 360hp would be cool with me if i happen to make 400 id be completely content. sorry to clutter up your thread VJ!

posts from you are no kind of clutter dude!

ye phillips setup is actually what i intended this build to be like...then i got a good deal on the turbos...and then i got bitten by the whole big turbo bug, and now i have giant boobies under my hood

dependent on how the car makes power once i tune the car and everything, i might go down turbos that have a bit smaller compressor housings, and probably switch to ball bearing as well

as it is now, i haven't pinned my motor, which means i'm going to have to cap it at 500 hp

but from what my buddies in the engineering department at FIU told me when they did a simulation of my setup...its good for around 650 if push it

So it wasn't repainted between the before and after pics? If not you did one hell of a job polishing that paint.
