My 94 JDM Rx-7 ....repainting, cleaning, fixing

My Mazda Rx-7 is a JDM unit...converted only to LHD. Got it straight from an importer and with unfinished LHD convertion but only with regards to aircon system completion. Paint is still with the original factory black but with many scratches. I got the unit in non running condition, but was able to make the engine run again by just extremely cleaning the tank by sandblasting and changing the fuel pump, changing one CAS sensor and reconnecting the 5V reference wire from the ECU that was disconnected creating 5 fault codes

I enjoyed the car for a while.....slowly eliminating emission components....fixing the sequential control vaccum lines.......until the clutch disc slip. When I removed the engine to change the clutch disc....I decided to tear down the whole car to give way for a very clean paint job. I will not be the one to paint the car, but I want that me and my crew be the one to teardown the car to the last possible clips, bolts. etc. And just bring the Rx-7 shell to the paint shop

Heres the picture when it was left at the port yard for 3 years.....it needs someone to Love her LOL

Heres after some little Love from me

And heres after a major teardown...in preparation for painting

Yup!...I agree.....Its so sad that this car will be left out to be rusted at the port yard for more years if I was not able to buy it.....when I see a Mazda Rx-7....its always a part of Mazda's legendary rotary history.....and considering it was not locally released here at my country.....very few Rx-7's here....I believe...just below 30 units

I got my Rx-7 for around 7,900 Us dollars.....cheaper than the usual Rx-7 prices here which is around double of this price. Maybe because its not working when I got it. And its not really in a for sale condition in the port yard since they were not able to make it run and therefore they did not even repaint the body and fix some minor dents.

But I think its still a good deal considering Im the first one to re-own my Rx-7 as it first arrived from Japan....and still with the original black paint, no paint retouch whatsoever, no major rusts, except for a 2 inch by 3 inch rusted hole on the lower LH rear panel....very hard to notice....this is the only one that needs to be repaired by a tinsmith. And as I toredown the parts down to the bare skeleton frame....I can see that there is no major collission or minor collission history...all are well straight up. Even the engine....its all stock...except for the exhaust muffler
