My スーパー耐久 ST-3 FD3S build thread (restore JDM endurance race car )
As some of you might know, there is a endurance race series call SuperTaikyu????????????????
this is a enterylevel professional endurance in japan, that feature a lot of popular sports car in japan market ( AE86,M3,FD2,370Z, EVO)
all these car are pretty much stock with fine blue print engine and bolt on to keep the cost down, like for FD's regulation the rule even require to keep the stock airbox
long story short, about 3 mo ago, that i have chance to purchese this FD3S from japan for very reasonable price, as you might guess i jump to the deal righaway!!!!!!

this is the first time outside of japan, can see the detail of super endurance car
since the car is no longer street legal in japan, we have to ship the car by peace~
but this is a good time to inspect the car
suprisely the car is very solid that show no sign of damage !!!
the blue hard line you see is the high pressure line for airjack

Awesome ! Always wanted to find out how they can keep the FD reliable in a endurance race.
Post more pics of the factory setup =)
How did they setup the cooling and the fuel delivery?

Between 95-2013
The rule for FD require stock intake and intercooler ,mine have front mount since
After 2014 the rule open up for intercooler
According to my sources is not uncommon to see 70-80©on intake temp
And u need to dumps lots fuel too cool down the engine
So the KPL is 2km per liter (which is ptetty poor)
And rule also make fuel cell no bigger then.110L

interesting, they are using a front mount ic instead of vmount?
good to know that a well ducted FMIC will work for endurance racing too
Looks like Zeal shocks, any idea what the spring rates are?

First pic are some old FD endurance set up
Stock intercooler~
And the car spring is pretty stiff
Front 28KG rear 22
Might be too stiff in my home course
But will do a shake down first

First shake down of my endurance race car
Not a,smooth day
First was slipping clutch
And over boost problem ,boost spike to 1.2kg suppose to under to.8
Front mount intercooler really a bad idea in such hot weather and hummit weather

a LOT OF YOU GUYS REQUEST SPRING RATE OF THIS CAR
FINALLY GET A chance to take pic , like most of japaese race car it come with Swift spring, and the spring on the rear you can see is 22KG front is 28kg
and as any race car fan's dream is to have Air jack on their race car, suprisely my dream finally come true....!!!! this car come with 3 air jack two at front and one at rear
since the car is a bit hevey side, it reguire about 25bar of preesure to jack the car up
