Matilde. PZ to HZ

Well, I figure its time to start a build thread on my 7.
Matilde as I call her is a 1996 RZ brought over from japan.
I bought her with 114k/km and she now has 121k/km and a freshly built stockport engine with about 4k/km on it.

Parts list
Sr Motorsports catback (kakimoto regu 92 in pictures)
sakebomb garage premier line projectors.
defi boost, oil temp, oil pressure and water temp gauges.
and a 7" touchscreen android head unit.
IM-VEE AD9 replica hood (frp)

Current plans for this car are to switch the paint from brilliant black to Sunburst yellow.

Here are some pictures of Matilde.
The yellow FD at the end is that i want my FD to come out looking like.

Picked some parts up off of Zadam (Dave)
Shoved the rear subframe in a caustic tank and then glass beaded it.
Slowly accumulating parts to get powder coated.

What spacers are you running on those wheels? They look great and flush. I have been considering buying these wheels but the offset is weak!

.

I believe they're +15 up front and +20 something in the rear. I'll double check when I get home.

Playing catch up here haha. Owned the car for just over a year now.

Took off my kakimoto regu 92 and replaced it with an sr motorsports catback that I picked up.

Kakimoto on the right side.

I started with 800 grit and worked my way up to 2000 grit wet sand paper and then finished off with a buffer and polishing compound.

Haven't had much motivation to work on my car lately.
Burnt out my LSD cruising around. Seems like the dif cover had a small leak.
Already have a replacement just have to swap everything over.

Helped Dave pull his engine and auto transmission out from his parts car.
Local insurance company writes off cars that have had fires. With absolutely no chance of re insuring them.

If it is 96 rz, shouldn't it suppose to come with bbs and recaros?

You are correct. Previous owner in Japan must have removed them. That's why I bought the bbs rims (to revert to stock) and am trying to source black recaros.

That's cool. I hope you bring that rz back to how it was. But I'm sure you'll be keeping the 99 spec front and spoiler.

Yup, although I do have a 96 wing and front if I ever want to go back to 100% stock .

That's awesome.
I would like to see that someday.
Also, I see a harness plug in front of passenger side oil cooler. Maybe you want to tuck that in somewhere lol

Sorry it took so long to measure my spacers. Running 20mm up front and 25mm in the rear.
