yea believe me guys... it's complete bull. Because before we even talked to anyone me and my sister had already decided that we were going to distribute his things to his sisters such as things they really wanted etc. My sister and I are very easy going and understanding. But for instance.. i'm still using a dresser my sister gave me way back in the 8th grade. My dad had a nice one that I would have liked to have. Even though his 3 sisters are ALL over 50 years old and ALL have fully furnished houses & jobs/retirement money to live on comfortably... they've decided not to let us have these things. His bed stand I would have also liked so I could get my mattress and box spring off the floor. It's just a huge mess that they don't see why his kids would like to have HIS things. They think we want them because were greedy and money hungry. But really, it's just nice to have things of his and when someone comes over and says "hey that's a nice chair, or I like your bed stand," we can say... "oh yea that's my dads." It's pretty unfortunate but whatever. I know he would have done things much differently.

FINALLY got around to blasting my rotors. i'm gonna take them by a local shop so a buddy of mine can grind them straight. But they look SOOO much better. Also took a couple pics of a crazy jet scooter my old fabricator built.. the thing is a trip and really works. It's nuts. I'll try to find the video of it running. Also, Some pics of a giant 100 something mm turbo that's going on a land speed vette my new fab guy is building.. The car is honestly nuts.. Enjoy..

Well havn't gotten around to working much on the car. Got the rotors turned after I blasted them. Picked up my fenders from Alex but i'm still not sure i'm going to run them. Still a toss up between these and the Chargespeed fenders. Only thing is chargespeed fenders are 700 bloody dollars.. damn crooks haha jk jk. But here's some pics of my motors assembly curtesy of Mr. Howard Coleman.

I'm pretty sure you want to run those fenders.

^......you may be right... I think were going to have to give up on pete and just go ahead and paint the bey.. I really am not too fond of the sheet metal panels either. The FD's chassis stiffness is already very sturdy. I'll most likely clean up the tacks and paint over them.

That running gear down on the rear there looks pretty damn good lol. The gold and black go together pretty well.

Cool, hit me up when you want to do that. leave the welds raw and dont paint over anything. it might make it harder for me to paint over it.

I'm ready when you are! I can have it cleaned by tonight. And with the temp dropping lower and lower lately.... we'll have to catch a good day. But i'll talk to you today. I have the day off

Why is it you list that as a negative? Do you have first hand experience with the carbon version? If so, did you really notice a difference when the clutch was cold compared to when it was warmed up?

I ask this because I have the carbon clutch and I do not notice much change in the friction or the smoothness of engagement compared to when the clutch is cold vs. hot.

A few weeks ago Goodfellafd3s drove my car and maybe he can chime in on his thoughts on the carbon clutch.

Howards out of town this weekend but i'm sure he'll get back to you when he gets back.

My motor comes in, either tomorrow or tuesday so i'll have to get down to the freight yard...about 45 min away in the next couple days to pick it up. Having the motor back is a big milestone.. a little flicker of light at the end of the tunnel hah.

My buddy Evan came over this morning to help finish off what another friend just won't have time to finish up. Laying down some little stitch welds just to stiffen up things further. Is it completely necessary on fd's?... no.. but you know what...i'm doing some things that I have always thought were awesome concepts and I really think every little bit counts.

I'll also be getting in a couple more parts this week and some more 3M Di-Noc so I can finish wrapping my consol/cluster.
Just a pic of evan doing his thing:

I got mine from Pegasus racing.com But you can get it at mot larger racing online stores. Just be careful to get the right stuff. There are some knock off's out there that look great but don't function at all. But the stuff isn't cheap

Could you explain why the housings are white and grey? Is the white a coating?

Also did you have Howard balance the rotating assembly?

Thanks again for the updates.

It's actually not white at all. The housings and irons were just media blasted so they're as clean as raw alum and iron can be.

Yea I really wish I could design my own fenders but I just don't have the funds for it haha. But over-all I really like the Origin fenders and can't beat the price compared to chargespeed...700.00.. YIKES.

Not much progress on the car but I did get a few things in today.
I thought I was supposed to pick up the motor tomorrow about 45 min away... but luckily I got a call from R & L carriers saying they were right outside my door...

I would also like to thank Brandon at CJ-Motorsports for doing a raw Dual Bosch 044 Fuel pump Assembly. It looks awesome. I love raw colors.

Next big purchase is a clutch.. Can't skimp out on getting it all down to the ground huh

Really sorry about you losing your dad man. That sucks how your aunt is handling it too. A lawyer is oftentimes the best solution if you want any kind of recourse.

Glad to see the car progressing though.

small update:

My buddy Evan finished up welding the engine bay and and I'm VERY happy with the outcome. I'll be wire wheeling some rougher areas and a couple very small rust spots and even will be painting the bay in the next couple weeks.

Other than that... I pulled out my old fuel pump assembly to check and see if the previous owner really was telling the truth with the supra pump... I havn't looked at the part number just yet.. but the electrical looked very very nice on it.. and everythin aftermarket on the car was slightly ghetto rigged so i'm thinking it's either an oem pump or i'll eat my words. Here's a comparison of the new pump assembly and the old assembly.

and look how dirty everything was before I took it out..

and just for a pictures sake.. one more oem assembly

I need to look for some fuel pumps... half of me wants to put up a looking to buy thread in the for sale section..but then again buying a used fuel pump is kind of asking for it.. anyone have 2 bosch 044's laying around? jkjk.

But I was thinking.. Is this new assembly going to work with the in tank surge unit everyone is using on here? It looks like it sits the pumps a little higher than oem..

What in tank surge unit is everyone using?

BTW, I *might* have a couple 044's here I'm not using right now..
