lol i would update my build thread if i had on ehahah. as for the intercooler, mine used to be a Greddy one, but it was a bit too long, so JTP took one he had that was more narrow, but thicker and it worked out better. are you making your own brackets for the headlight setup? i am definitely really interested in doing something similar!

nahh...the bracket itself came with the lights... but Im pretty sure they're one off brackets because they needed some modification. I painted the other sides this morning so they should be ready for assembly tonight. I also got my ID 850's in... and my block off plates.. and one of these days i'm going to go pick up my fenders from alex.

Almost done with my LIM... put my block off plates on... and started with the thermo tec adhesive heat barrier. And finished my lights... and put them back together. I used some nice little copper washers just because.. p.s.. I love Super copper

Aaron, it's Ed, hit you up this morning through txt, just now finished going through this entire thread since morning, WOW! Dude, you are going through this restoration like a champ, hella inspiring. My motor on the FC is out and I have this terrible looking engine bay : / and probably a ton more of dingy looking parts that need attention.

Thanks for this inspiration as this weekend I'll try and sort through the ol FC and get to work. See you soon and your progress on the FD.

What up ed!!! I'm really glad it helped kick you into over-drive!! i'm trying not to lose motivation on my electrical.. the body harness is a nightmare.. But i'll get to it. I picked up another motor harness last night and it's in excellent condition. I think i'm going to sell mine and really make this one nice.. with some mil-spec wire etc.. i'll talk to you soon and let me knwo whatever you need a hand with.

Found a local friend with a synaps 50mm waste-gate and i'll be picking that one one to match this one. Also finished the back side of my LIM with the thermotec. It's a pain to get into the smaller tighter areas... but i'm positive this stuff will do it's job correctly.

I probly don't... and it might be a little bit of an overkill.. I'm keeping my options open but I'd like to keep boost under control as much as possible, and i got the second gate for a hell of a price. my objective is 450WHP and i'd like to sit at a comfy 20lbs of boost max. But i'm a huge fan of efficiency... and i'll talk to a couple people about running dual gates and whether or not it would be benificial.
barban...just out of curiosity.. whats your current set up?

2 50's is overkill. 2 38's has proven to be more than needed for setups like my ls3 turbo setup. One 50mm should be more than enough.

Cool, just let me know.

I think I read you were looking for some motor mounts still? If so, check these out:

http://www.fullfunctioneng.com/randd.html

Bottom of the page.

BTW, I started off with a single 44mm wastegate on my setup and it wasn't enough. However, it could have been designed a bit better for optimizing flow but space constraints held it back. I redesigned the manifold for twin 44's, and it holds the 8psi spring pressure rock solid. Twin 50's might be a bit overkill tho. I would think twin 38's would be plenty. If you want to do the single 50, just make sure the manifold is well designed..
