Yes, Jesus solved the wiring issues and had the car started as of last week. Don't know where he stands on ensuring temps are good and the ac is recharged/fixed but he doesn't screw around so it shouldn't be long.

I can't wait to start my 3 rotor project! I'm targetting a finish date in late 2013!!! J/K.

I'll be glad when you have it safely tucked away in your vault. You should consider replacing your garage door with a vault type door. Maybe the type door on Die Hard that the bad guys were trying to get through.

David, I have to say... your car sounds sweet! My dad fired it up when I was there and I thought it was going to be loud, but it actually sounds really good.

based on stereotype, yes its for old men. I guess I'm getting older quicker than I'm supposed to be It should be done REALLY soon. It looked done to me when I saw it, but he said otherwise.

Your dad called me. Not bad for a 10.0 AFR. At 11.5 or so, my guess and your dad's is a little over 600. We shall see soon.

Those are great numbers David, but you're not going to pick up an extra 100 rwhp from leaning it out a point and a half. More likely you will pick up more power by running the motor out to redline.

Yep, should have mentioned that. We'll also take it to 18 PSI or so. The numbers should be good and the car will be done.

Right again. Jesus Jr. jumped the gun with his post. Jesus Sr. tells me the car's HP line is straight and doesn't stop. This was just a quick "let's see where we are at" dyno run so he stopped at 6,300 RPMs. When the car is complete, I doubt we'll have any trouble making 600+ at 16 PSI. Speaking of AFRs, the car was at 10.0. I've seen the car at this low of an AFR and it's pig rich like that. Needs to be leaned out to properly run or it will be a smoke machine.

I'm heading down next week to check in on the progress so I'll keep you posted.

David, after all these years and all that trouble,if i were you, i would stay at 14-15 psi and be happy. No need to push the motor again,500hp is more than enought for now.Drive the car for a few months, enjoy it,and if you need more power go for another tune.Just my 0.2 cents

We're not going to push the engine and risk another catastrophic failure. We'll tune to a reasonable level of boost and call it a day, no matter what the HP is. I'm just saying it will be above 600 given where we are at with Jesus' dyno run yesterday.

I should have listened to that "wise man" who told me to only post once the car is completed. Think I will take his advice now
