found more chewed up wires.. probably the root cause.
all 3 ignition wires were melted through and grounding out on the sheilding.
repaired that section of wire and still no change. found more hot spots at the main plug by the battery. probably best to just swap out the harness at this point.
verified that the ecu was not damaged by throwing it in a known running car and it ran pretty well. way better than in my car so it still has to be ignition components or wiring.
ordered new coil packs, coil harness and im going to swap out the ignitor. also plan on poking the wires against the diagram and verify that i have no more wiring issues.
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee so much fun..

yeah im not discouraged yet. not much else i can replace at this point. pulled a comp test and over 95 even on all faces and both rotors so break in is going well and engine itself is healthy. just an electrical gremlin that i have to chase away.

blame the stancebros!
i bet a tire rubbed that harness ever-so-slightly, then boom, you have an intermittent electrical problem. i'm surprised you didn't blow a fuse though (EGI fuse?) all of this stuff is fused for a reason.
yeah the engine is fine... just put the new harness in and get down!!!

multi meter. ran ohms from pig tail to ground first. it should show a reading and slowly work back to 1. then run voltage and it should slowly leak from anything to 0. mine didnt do anything either way so i just replaced it.
thanks. i am lucky to live in the mountains but i wish it was more green like north east/north west.
