The one run I feel was an all out push at 10/10ths without error was actually my last left course run at Toledo ProSolo. Sadly, it was a red-light so no time was shown on the record books. Also sadly, my lame BOV shook the wires to my ebc and damaged the connector so the run was on wastegate spring pressure (8 psi). The run was a 28.X (iirc a 28.6). Erik ran a 27.8. Since then, I added another 0.7* negative camber with the super now offset LCA bushings and the big ****.

I'm tossing the idea around in my mind. I'm still 1-2 years away from being able to get one though...
Don't know if they exist in the US, but I'd love to find a yellow '93 R1.

My odds just got better...
I would say a NC2 MX-5 (or the upcoming ND) is also on my short list of cars I'd like to purchase next. I'd also like to see if Mazda will bring another rotary sports car to these shores. Lots of options!

Update:
Took my old fuel tank back to KDR for a slight modification. They hacked the whole right side of the tank off. The tank now has ~10.5 gal capacity and starves below 1/4 tank (~2.6 gallons). This saved a good amount of weight. Additionally, Dave at KDR tuned the car for 1.19 kg/cm^2 or ~17 psi. We ran higher octane and Dave said not to run >15 psi without 98+ octane. In 4th gear the car made 377 whp and 311 wtq.
Sadly, this was all for nothing as the turbo doesn't have enough load to boost 17psi in 2nd gear. Even with no wastegate boost source connected, 2nd gear spools only to 1.01kg/cm^2 or 14.3psi.
Also took the car to reset ride heights and corner weights at Johnson Scale. Cross weights came dialed in to 1399 and 1406 (with driver, helmet, and 1/4 tank of gas). Ride heights are within 3/16" between all corners and all fall ~25 3/4". The alignment the next day dialed in:
-3.5* front camber
-2.2* rear camber (decreased to help compensate for added rear downforce from wing).
0.00 toe all around
and ONLY 2.6* caster (all the caster seems to have gotten lost when the super now camber bushings were installed).
Following these changes, we went to an Evolution School to testing the car and getting used to it. The lowered rear ride heights and wing downforce made the car very pushy. We softer the front rebound and stiffened the rear a little. That seemed to work a little better, but the push was still present (keeping in mind this was on the grippiest asphalt possibly in the country).
The car is now loaded on the trailer (Thanks Sandro for lending me the rig) and ready for the haul to the SCCA Solo National Championships in Lincoln Nebraska. I suspect the car will need a sight bump in ride height (very very minimal). The added front rake and rear toe out as a result of the perch adjustment should create the necessary rotation for the ultra-grippy airport concrete surfaces in Lincoln.

wait till you get on our nice and toasty concrete surface, should be sufficiently cleaned off by the time you get to run, but the pro-solo guys had a bit of a challenge the first two days last year

If you change your mind on the diff cradle let me know.The prototype should be made and checked out in about 3 weeks and I am hoping the cost will be about $225.

Yes...dry we weigh about 2510 dry but we had to run our 1/2 tank full at Lincoln to prevent cavitation . We weighed 2560 Thurs and 2548 Fri. We plan to work towards a 5 gallon starting fuel load and take off about 30 lbs.

wait until I get the ones from thursday and friday up, I was at the corner at the end of the long "straight". I forget what they named that corner, it was the first 180 degree turn, got shots of a lot of people 3 wheeling it.

5 gallon tank may save 30-35 lbs from our current 1/2 tank. Will keep you posted on our planned roll center work. Hope to see you at the Dixie Tour.
