Goodfella's Rotary Garage 1995 BB FD, my take on the Ultimate Street Machine
T
And speaking of weight reduction... pulled off the almost-new suspension that was on the car (which is for sale of course) in favor of Ohlins DFV Road&Track.
Ohlins DFV FF: 9.2#
Ohlins DFV RR: 8.2#
Konis/PFS Comfort FF: 13.0#
Konis/PFS Comfort RR: 12.2#
A reduction of almost 16 pounds in unsprung weight is a pretty damn good day in my book

You're correct Julian, thanks for mentioning that
Many thanks to the boys at Sake Bomb Garage for the speedy service on the Ohlins.... they were at my door four days after I placed the order!
More information here: http://www.sakebombgarage.com/ohlins...oilovers-fd3s/
Finally some quality photos for this build compliments of Mr. Daniel McVicker

Some shots with the new front bumper, both still and rolling.... further credit to Mr. McVicker and his trusty assistant Peppy Lopez
(ride height is coming down a fair amount, Ohlins were installed with pre-set height)

That looks awesome Rich! I love the finish on the wheels too. Very classy!
Can you actually read the FC Commander from your driver seat? I know I wear glasses, but damn!
I can't believe how light those Ohlins are! One of these days I'll have to ditch my kindergarten grade coilover set up and pick up a set. I'm anxious to hear your feedback after a few track days.

Thanks
. I wasn't sure how the finish was going to look in person, I'm glad I took the gamble.
Hey Phil, I think I'm beginning to enjoy black a bit more than red...... can fly under the radar a bit more
Glad you like them Rick! Yup, I'm lucky enough to have 20/20 vision. Regardless, I plan to move the commander, probably over to the cig lighter.
The Ohlins have proven to be amazing on the street, super comfortable as well as capable and planted when you want them to be. I honestly think the FD rides better on the NJ roads than my DD acura tsx, which is pretty nuts
You sound surprised bub
Corner balancing may be in the cards..... time is getting to be hard to find lately.
Possibly, right now I'm kicking around the Shine duckbill vs R-Magic Type 1 vs a '99 spec with JDM tuner insert.
Maybe on the clearbra Tim. I had one on the VR FD and that didn't help me much at the end there

Btw, I have to thank Dan for his help wrenching and rolling fenders this past weekend. I have a few shots of Mr. Scrub performing the latter duties in a compromising position but have been threatened if I decide to go public
Also, I drove down to NJMP this past Sunday in a two-FD caravan with BlueBerryFarms, Dan and John Renna. John spent some time street-tuning my FD and it runs absolutely awesome. He started from scratch, and given the latest semi-minor power mods I'm very happy with the acceleration, response, and also the OEM-like driveability

Plans before DGRR '13 include side skirts, painted brake calipers, picking up my Big100-Spec seats, AEM wideband install, and a few other small odds and ends.
One recent shot from the shop..... 55k mile CYM, 979 mile MB, 35k mile BB. Not too shabby for a trio of ~20 year old cars
