The Rotarah Amoos 7 was fast until Kittah Littah when car got a lil too excited and coolant overflow asploded (<- Noob, a jillion gauges are there for a reason).
We should re-shoot and re-edit the ending to part quattro.
Remember kids, in addition to not apon'ing out, hazard lights do not count as point bys.

I certainly hope that was not an instructor in the passenger seat of that s2k, condoning that sort of behavior is dangerous.
Absolutely beautiful facility though, looks like a grand time!

Little video clip from the track day. Toward the end I was getting low on fuel and getting fuel starvation. Overall it was a good day had a blast with GoodfellaFD3S on track. Looking forward to my next track day.

I went up to IR performance to hang with Rich, Tom and install some parts on my car. After I took off the rear wheel to install the RacingBrake rear upgraded brake kit (Thanks Rishie at AutoRND)I noticed bad things.....
Wahappen!?
Guess I'll be contacting Improved racing, since I don't think that is supposed to happen.
drop it drop it low
Stock size rotor 11.4lbs
RB upgraded rotor 11.2lbs

I have since then haha. At the October PCA event at Thunderbolt I had a bit of an off (only one so far)
I have in car footage too, but I've definitely learned from that mistake.
If I had any extras I would!
Anyway new year, new track videos. I may have the mods move this thread to the race car tech section and change the thread title.
Two videos from a track day sponsored by Fabspeed. It was basically an open lapping day. I went out with both beginner and advanced groups. It was so much nicer running in advanced.
Running Dunlop Star spec Direzza Z1's: 255 front, 265 rear
I figured the Cobra would give the point by on the straight, but he decided he wanted to race instead. That thing is quick on the straights! I wasn't going to hard on the car since DGRR was only a few weeks after this.

Here is the result of my off back in October. Nothing a little sticker won't fix
On Monday the I attended a track day with the BMW club at NJMP running Lightning circuit. This was my firs time to this track. I'm undecided how much I like it. The track is definitely fun, but it's short and high speed. Since this was my first time running with the BMW club they placed me in the beginner group, which I would expect. Looking forward to running with the BMW club in the future.
Tires: Dunlop Star spec Direzza Z1's: 255 front, 265 rear
Note: I didn't realize the go-pro would pick up voices so well where it was mounted.

I recently purchased a set of driving gloves a pyrometer and the Performancebox (made by racelogic), but the package didn't arrive until after my track day I'm looking forward to logging laps between my car Riches (goodfellafd3s) and Johns (jhnrx7) cars. I'm by no means an track junky yet, but it'll be nice to track my progress. Maybe in a few years I'll purchase something like the traqmate since that seems to be the preferred logging equipment.
I haven't played around with the perfomancebox yet, but for the price you get a ton of features. I've toyed around with the idea of running a GB on them

Dan, How do you like the star specs? Would you switch to something different or keep them for your next set of tires?
Also, What Endless pads are you running? How do they perform on the track?
I am currently shopping for better tires and pads and not sure what to get.
John
P.S. wheres the apon out vid?

You gotta do a track day with us soon! I love the star specs, they're great tires. If I were to switch tires it would probably be to some R comps. But for now the amount of grip that the Star specs offer is excellent. Another good choice is the Advan AD08's, those are the choice of goodfellafd3s.
Taken from another thread about my brakes.
I'm running Racing brake bbk front and rear with Endless PC35 Race pads, Endless MX72 rears coming (Currently Racing Brake ET500), Endless RF650 high temperature fluid. The PC35 is a heavy duty racing brake pad mainly used for WTCC, WRC and Dakar Rallies. I was offered a deal I couldn't refuse for the pads so I decided to give them a shot.
The difference between the PC35 pads and my ET500's was night and day. The pedal feel and initial bite was improved vastly over anything I've run before. They do squeal quite a bit on the street when cold, but once they get some heat in them the noise goes away. I'm looking forward to seeing what some of the other Endless pads feel like once these are toast.
The PC35's might be a bit too aggressive for the tracks I usually use, they aren't heavy braking tracks. If you don't get the brakes up to temp you get a lot of pad deposit on the rotors which will give the feeling of a warped rotor. But after getting the brakes hot it clears up and the car stops quick! I'm considering going with a slightly less aggressive pad in the front for my next set of pads.
I'm not sure if it's aero related or brake related, but when braking hard from high speeds the back end gets squirrely. The only thing I can think of is too much front brake bias or not enough downforce on the rear, any suggestions? I plan on doing some testing to try and remedy the problem.
I was considering uploading the aponout in car video, not sure if I want to haha.

Get in touch with "ptrhahn" about those end links. They have issues. To such a degree it broke one of Pete's shocks.
Great track stories BTW!
