Just got my Apex Seals in, and ordered a few other things from Ray that should be here in 2 days. =D
Ben said he'd be tearing the motor down this week, so hopefully we'll see some progress on the motor in a few days as well.
7 stock is so soon.

Oooo...I'm lovin' the build! Looks like it's coming along very nicely. What made you decide to run E85? I've heard mixed reviews so I'm just wondering...

It's readily available in my area. Sacramento has 51 stations right now.
http://e85prices.com/california.html

I'm redoing the whole car as well, and shooting for big numbers, so upgrading everything was going to happen anyway. Running E85 is only going to benefit rotary users compared to annoyance of changing our oil all the time due to contamination.

What are some negative effects you've heard, Riz?

Why don't you just get new HKS coilovers.. as they are not that hard to get here. I have some decent discounts on HKS Stuff too if you want me to check.

Miata_mx5, I was thinking of going with some new HKS, but I really don't like how high the spring rates are. I really prefer to find a setup that is 10kg/8kg, but if all fails I'll try out the HKS Hipermax III Sports. 12/10 just seems to stiff though. IDK..... I'm going to pm you here in a few days after my next paycheck... I might need you to get me some SSR's or Works if you can.

Bryan, found me a nice low mileage pair of Quantums, but I can get a brand new set of something else for the price of those used, and that just seems a little dumb for me to do.

UPDATE:

The car is officially torn down to the bare shell right now. My buddy Eric came over today and gave me a hand with removing the rear subframe which will be torn apart and taken to the powder coaters. Phil... I'm stealing your idea on this one. haha Also, I ordered new pillowball joints from Ray, so those will go in after powder coating too. It's all coming along nicely.

MMMMMMM...GATROADE is so tasty

I also got a nice shot of the carbon fiber under tray.

Also notice the nicer pictures. I went out in bought a D90 SLR today for my trip to Thailand. This means nicer build photos too.

Just received my pillowball joints from Ray Crowe. I also got my 3 piece aluminum sway bar in, which is going off to the anodizers to be customized.... guess what color? haha

If anyone needs these polyurethane swaybar mounts let me know. I won't be using them. $69

After I got the rear subframe off I took everything apart, boxed it up, and now it's going off to the powder coaters. When I get them back I'll be pressing in the new bushings and pillowballs joints. Brand new suspension ... I can't wait. Now to decide on some coilovers.

What are your intentions for the car and what kind of power do you intend to make?

1000rwhp dyno queen. j/p

No real goals other than to have FUN building up a car. It's hella fun to tear a car apart, just to put it back together 10x better than what it was. I will be taking it to car shows, and trying to get some magazine coverage, but I did this JUST FOR FUN....going to hang out with buddies, bbq, drink, and chill at the shows is what its all about.

I love that spec V and the NSX color. If I ever get a chance to all out repaint another FD, I think I'd definitely go with the spec V opal color.

Small update. Apexi GT Spec Exhaust. Thanks to Dial8 for hooking it up.
I can't wait untill she's running again. This exhaust should set some alarms off at school.

I put in some sponsorship requests to a few select businesses. Hopefully, I'll be hearing from them soon.

I remember running the Apex GT before I went to a custom 4", the thing was loud as hell, but I loved the note on it. Good sounding exhaust imo, I'll keep an eye on your build.

UPDATE: The downfalls of building a car from the ground up. I had to pick up a new DD as the F250 was killing me on gas. I've already got the mod bug for the bimmer, trying to wait until I at least get the FD back on the road.

Black on black.

I got some fake wood. That's bawlin. haha

V6 FTL!
