5-6 might be too big to hang from the mirror...i think im gonna look at doing a 4" one so it can be a rear view mirror/keychain kinda thing

Not a tool guy? You couldnt pay me to have a ryobi piece of **** anywhere near my shop, like I see in the back ground of one of your pics. You would drool yourself dry if you saw my work space. Brideport mill, tig, mig, plasma cutter, flat belt lathe...The list goes on and on my friend, i just dont waste bandwidth posting pictures of every new tool I purchase.

Sorry for thread jacking though, just dont like it when people think they know whats up when they dont even know who they are talking to.

lol well for what i do and for the average diy'er i think craftsman is the best bang for your buck. it works, ive never had problems with its quality and is super easy to warranty. and sears are all over NJ so very convienent as well. im mixed, mostly craftsman/ gearwrench hand tools.. all others vary. i like HF for specialty things, things i wont use often, and for stuff that quality really isnt going to matter... snap on prices are obsurd for someone who doesnt wrench professionally. and even at that, i wonder if thats really needed. besides teeth binding in socket wrenchs i cant imagine what else would break given youre using the proper tool.... but lets not get into that debate/war..

Today was the first day I had the chance to actually dedicate the whole day to the 7. a good buddy of mine, jack came over to lend me a hand. hes my electrical guru so he was helping me figure out the last few remaining wires..

everything is pretty much wired up, i have to hook up the starter and figure out 3 more wires. on to the pics!

bay with wires all laid out

driver side (yes its still messy and driving me insane.

pass side

trunk view

the battery is out of place and actually goes behind dr seat. the pass side "bin" will house my AEM water meth and pump

all the electronics

Tomorrow my buddy jack will be lending me a hand again so we will finish up the wiring and test/trouble shoot. he will also be installing my remote start/2way alarm.

the next things on the to do list
wire up fuse box for acc electronics (painless)
re install all gauges (boost, wideband, fuel pressure)
boost controll
aem water meth
head unit
amp/subs

that pink is amazing. i wish i had the patience or money to have someone redo my wire.. would be so much easier to have the battery/fuses/circuits right now. great work!!

and count me in for one of the hanging pistons. I love it.

haha thanks. i fudged some of the pc coat up last year so ill have to redo it.. ugh. pita.

got the car fired up today! alarm is 90% done. started heat shrinking and wrapping everything in looms. god the front looks so clean! another 10+ hour day so too tired to take pics.. will post some tomorrow...
'

lol muri my "patients" took me over 6 months hahaha this was easily the most frustrating thing ive done yet. but thankfully after we trouble shot (which was only plug the stuff i forgot to connect) it fired on whew!

only things that havent been tested is rear lights, turns, gauges, and dash related things since the dash and dash harness is out. but when my buddy jack was wiring the alarm in he was doing tests and said everything is getting power when its suppose to so it shouldnt be a problem,.

I think pink in the engine bay makes sense because you want those components to pop. Pink stitching would be to much IMO. I think those guys that went nuts with the red stitching all over their dash is a bit to much. I think stitching should kind of blend in with the seats. Pink roll bar would look nice!

andy, you are right, but im not stitching everything.. i dont got pockets like you so there will not be stitching on the dash or doors

just the little things, shift boot, ebrake boot, MAYBE the center console it looks badass, ebrake button, shift ****, hopefully steering wheel, roll bar. and some sort of funky carpets with some pink... although that sounds a lot, i think they are very small subtle pieces so it wont pop like the engine bay but just compliment the black.

Not much pictures again. cameras too expensive to bring in the garage/workspace. im very careless and its also a PITA to clean my handds and take pics... i get out or rhythm lol..

pics of the battery tray i fabricated. i also had to relocate some of the fuse boxes because i mounted them too high and with the plastics on its non accessible. im not getting a close up cuz im hiding my horrendous welds. and on top of that ran out of c25 so had to finish it with flux. ugh.

some pics of the front wire harness all wrapped up and tucked

Along the fender

How the battery and all the fuse boxes look.. still need to make another bracket for the relays that are taped on in this pic

i hacked up the bins some more. i plan to have the water meth tank and pump on the left side. the tape line is where i plan to cut up to. i think that should be enough room to access the battery easily. also the lid ill no be one big *** lid.

battery and fuse boxes with bin

roll barrrrrrrr, still mocking it up. i dont have the money to spend to pc the roll bar now so im planning on just spraying it white for now.. also thinking of hacking up the rear trunk plastics so the roll bar goes in easier but the mounting points may be exposed...

also i shampoo'd the carpet. resprayed the plastics black with sem trim paint (love it) vacuumed and wiped down the interior. im debating if i want to put the dash in before or after the roll bar. its pretty heavy and i dont want to scratch anything.

cant wait to start working on the engine bay...

3 days, roughly 30 hours. im exhaustttttttttttted.
