Not sure if anyone on here is actually interested in my build but at least the last few videos belong here being rotary specific. Engine is now all assembled and hope to fire it up in the next few days.
oh, the new engine runs nice now:
having spoken out plenty against pretentious and annoying youboobers, this is a pleasant series to watch; not trying to play up or overhype anything, or put on a pied-piper show for all the dumbed-up & dazzled mice, but just a humble, genuine soul being straight and deliberate, and even nicely humorous too.
Good job sir, good job!

And thanks for the kind words. I certainly don’t consider myself or aspire to being a “youtuber”, it just seemed like a good way document the build and as it turned out I enjoy making the videos. I wish there were more YouTube channels that catered to our demographic, but the target audience is usually much younger with an extremely short attention span.
If you're out there making content that is both wholesome and technical, I would be interested to see it. If you're not, why take the time to hassle other people because you don't agree with every aspect of what they are doing?
I've been terrible with filming and editing the progress of this build. The last 10% of any build seems to take the longest, and is so tedious that it doesn't make for good content (wholesome or otherwise, lol). So I made a video recapping the progress I made last year, the problems and the wins. Lots of driving videos sprinkled in there, but not being from the tik-tok generation I decided to reward those with attention spans and the better clips are later in the video.
Didn't get any better last year with filming or editing in a timely manner. Another attention span reward at the end of this one. I have some more driving videos, so I'll put them together with some of my analysis in the coming weeks. Only a few upgrades this winter, so expect some dyno and track videos finally! If you think it feels like forever, imagine how I feel!
