as someone who has been doing the whole subaru thing for the past 6 years (first car I ever bought was an 04 wax wagon and I daily a 17 STi nowadays), the 818 has been on the list of things to build. This is even better with a rotary!!

Slow progress over the summer and fall, but it’s all coming together these past few months. Got a some stuff done over Christmas, and filmed some videos. Since then I’ve wrapped up almost all the wiring and the end is in site. Car had its first inspection and has its own vin, once the snow is gone it should be ready for its final inspection and then it’ll be street legal. Far from done, but a few steps closer.
Any and all feedback is always appreciated. Cheers.

It is a little loud, hopefully not too loud. We’ll know soon enough. I’d like to do a large street port, or possibly a bridge/half-bridge, but noise might prevent that.
As for the transmission, the Type RA STI engine revs to 8k so I don’t expect any issues. I’m hoping it’s close ratio gearing will suit the rotary well.

Forgot to add my latest videos. Making good progress, hopefully will be tuning more shortly and have some sweet high rpm footage!

Can't believe I've been forgetting to update this thread. I know it's mostly just me posting my boring *** videos, but feel free to ask questions and I'll gladly share every detail and pics if needed.

Finally able to catch everyone up on the project! Car is really coming together nicely, but unfortunately it isn't all good news. Going to be a busy winter, but I'm confident she'll be ready and waiting for spring! Just found out a track near me (10mins away!) is reopening and I'm so pumped. It's a technical and tight little track designed for karting and bikes, basically auto x on steroids with walls and gravel pits! So I now have 2 tracks close by to put the car and myself to the test.

While I wait for my engine parts to be machined I decided to port my (8374) turbo’s turbine housing before I send it and my manifold out for ceramic coating. My engine will be ported and flowing more and my concern is that the internal wastegate won’t flow enough for me to run a lower boost level without creep. While I may not have an issue at all, the porting was free and allowed me to clean up some rough castings.
