crazy how the time has passed. Almost on the verge of fall again in chicago and I finally got this thing out of its hiding spot. It was actually blocked in our garage due to some construction going on in our building and some building supplies prevented me from moving the car out. Well last night I finally got it out. Post fixing the exhaust leak I never went WOT because it seemed to me like the car was shooting past what I originally remember was the 12psi boost target from before. So last night I tested the wg and confirmed it was functioning as it should. Ran pressure to the boost source line and was able to listen to the WG operation with a stethoscope while pressurizing it. Then i promptly topped of the fuel with a bottle of 2 cycle oil, took $80 to fill up!! and then went on the hwy and did a pull or two. Max boost was showing 15psi and the car felt and sounded healthy. I didn't change anything other than fixing the preturbo exhaust leak, so im guessing many years ago when it was originally tuned it was probably done on 15psi. Did some searching around, doesn't seem like 15psi on 93 pump with this turbo is too out of line. But open to suggestions. I just did 1 third gear hit and a couple partial throttle runs to feel it out. Then got off and did a quick 2nd gear stab, its nice to hear the car sound the way it does. Definitely much more tame than it was before. got a friend coming over today w/a mic and some equipment so hopefully i can get some good sound clips for a little project im working on. Then hopefully I can get working on that list of items for this car.
