That's awesome man. Do you have any pictures of how you mounted the AC condenser?
|
I don't have any close-ups, but I'll snap some for you.
Essentially the condenser is held with 2 bars on the top connecting to 4 ears on the cradle that holds the radiator. These ears have holes in them for a bolt to go through. On each side of the condenser are 4 rubber pads. 1 between the ear & the condenser and another between the condenser and the bar that goes across. A bolt goes through the bar & ear on each end. |
Hey... just saw this thread. Great to see it all together! Well done!

btw super engine build :p This will completely replace all OEM lines with SS line & AN fittings using the OEM oil coolers. No fitment issues with A/C. I will add that I recently got some retuning done in the lower RPM range and transitions. Dave always does a great job and is super sharp. I had a few issues with down low loads causing it to buck.
She's smooth as silk now. SpeedOne taking care of business once again. :D |
Love the build!
Very well done! |
ah man it brings back memories of my car when i did my rebuild/ single turbo conversion:(
very well done...super clean |
Congrats again for building a very clean MB.
If i am to understand this right.... you seem to have just pulled the motor and freshened it up with new gaskets/seals? did not crack her open? |

It will be nice since I know the entire setup works perfectly as is. Bolting up a fresh engine after this fact will be much more peace of mind. I'm easily looking at another 30whp on the same boost, which will be a nice bump. After a rebuild, it's water injection time. I'll be shooting for high 400's. I believe I would be happy with 480whp. We shall see. |
Sounds about right, +30 with a port job - nice work as always
Where are you going to use 480 on the street? |

Still pissed you're not driving it down to WV for me and Trav to drool on. But understandable, it would need a firm wash and after I got done humping it. See you soon Hulk Brogan !

XLR8 or IRP -- can you provide some more info on the ceramichrome product / process? Search doesn't reveal anything but the finished product looks very sweet. Great job so far.

I spoke with Ihor by simply emailing them at: www.irperformance@live.com It really does make sense. A quality polish job is equal in cost or very time consuming, and essentially purely for form. The coating is two birds with one stone. I had the UIM, LIM, Water pump housing, and filler neck done. Speak with Ihor on the price, as I don't want to step on their toes. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service. I typically look at people's faces when I pop my hood as they say WOW, is that chrome?!?.... Then I give them a nice speal about this heat coating that is oh so pretty. :) |

Yes, I am very pleased with the Ceramichrome work of IR performance. It took about 2 weeks to get my parts back. They were returned with comprehensive instructions of inspecting, installation and even caring for the coating throughout its life.

Wow, Nice Build thread. I just saw this.
I've seen alot of new vmount kits out their for about 1k cheaper. But the do not come with the 4ply hoses, ss tow hooks and ps-cooler that comes with my kit. Since those 1.2k to 1.5k guys are posting parts of their kits maybe I should do so too like you did and make a couple jaws drop. Thanks again for chosing RE-vmount. |
