Not sure why know one talks about rx7.com but i ordered a 99 bumper from them on Weds night and got the bumper in on Friday. I called up there, someone picked up the phone and confirmed they had the part and could ship out as soon as payment was made.
I originally tried to order from Mazda Motorsports but my order didnt process, it took me forever to get them on the phone and they never return my calls or emails.
Any ways I started taking parts of the car and starting to accumulate more parts.

^ thanks!.
In the process of making dual oil cooler setup similar to my black car.
I used two used R1 oil coolers this time but stuck with the -8 and used the same fittings.
These go in the oil cooler. They are $10 a piece i ordered 3
Installed
45 degrees Aeroquip fitting on the cooler. These were $26 a piece from Amazon. I ordered 3
What they look like if i was standing over the car looking at the passenger cooler
R magic ducts will feed air to the coolers.
Next up for the weekend.

Sent off the car to a local body shop. Was going to try and tackle on the work myself but easier to just send it off.
Front bumper fit like a glove
Body shot said frame rails are strait and the install of new core support has been strait forward.
Hope the body shop is able to make the shine fenders work. The mounting point was a little weird but I talked to Ken on the phone and he said it was normal and would flex.
While in the body shop, I also decided to shave rear bumper lights, antenna, wiper and rear squirter.
Hoping to have the car back this week and put back together before the wife’s bday.

Got the car back late on 11/10. Tinkered it with for an hour or two.
Over the weekend I installed
· Dual oil coolers with ducts
· PS pulley
· Radiator
· New intercooler
· Figure out what I had to with the charge pipes
· Relocated battery to the rear
· Installed new exterior door panels
· Rear speakers
· True black rear quarter plastics
Tried to start it Sunday afternoon and no Bueno. Sound like it had a weak battery but it showed 12v. Thought it had to do with a bad battery so I used the battery from my black car and still no dice. Then tried battery from OEM location, still no luck. So I put a charger on the new battery and would try it again on Monday.
Tried it after work on Monday with a freshly charged battery and still no luck. I did notice that the tach wasn’t bouncing up down when I cranked it which meant I didn’t have a CAS signal. I looked down at the passenger floor board and noticed the ECU wasn’t hooked up. Dumb but glad it was an easy fix.
Anyways car is back together but still need to tidy up a few things.[img]

New carbon fiber front plate
Hot water labs headlights installed
Both of our cars at Cars and Coffee
Wife was super excited about driving her own FD to Cars and Coffee
Not pictured is the triple gauge pod from flyrx7. I the pod I have Prosport Oil temp gauge, Prosport boost gauge and AEM wideband.
Flyrx7 customer service is great, he makes a nice product and has fast shipping.
Prosport gauges are affordable and works. I get these from amazon.
AEM wideband has always worked for me and easy to install
Oil temp is coming from hard line on rear iron. I just tapped the banjo bolt and screwed in the sensor
Next up clean up the interior

Car just got cleaned up some.
- Polish: 3d AAT Polish
- Strip: Alcohol then carpro eraser
- Coating: Carpro Cquartz
- Topper: Carpro Reload
- Trim: 303 Aerospace Protectant
Some before and after
It's getting new intercooler pipes and cold air intake now.
Goal is to have this ready for DGRR at the end of the month.

Yes the car was in a wreck. Everyone is ok. Car is totaled.
Rather not post what happened on here but I'm considering 3 options right now
Option 1: Sell the car as is and buy another running good condition FD
Option 2: Fix again and drive.
Option 3: Take some of the stuff like engine, turbo kit, etc and install in another car.
The car will need another roof skin which i have. I have a smooth top skin. Will need windshield, full front end, passenger side rail straighten from what I can tell, PS pulley and radiator.

I saw the car on the tow truck, I feel your pain! Really sorry to hear about what happened!
I would start putting options together but give it a little time before you make a decision.

Not again! It hurt my heart to see the first accident and it cleaned up so well! Sorry it had to happen again. But what’s more important is that people are safe. You can always replace a car but you can’t replace a person. I lost my first FD at Deals Gap back in 2013 and I know how that road can be.
