RCCAZ1- We order the engine from Koseki, they are awesome. Was hard try to communicate back and fourth for months with the language barrier, so thank google for that. Your guess on build price would probably be close, if a shop installed everything.

T-von- sometimes the figures jump fast in a build, no matter how mechanically inclined you may be. I know what you mean tho.

Bufferovrflo- Don't go out to meets much. Do you drive an FD? I go out to the speedway, and seen a couple Sheckweld FDs, and Autocraft has a couple too. not too many around here. It has the OEM tranny still with OS Giken gear set, and ikea Formula sequential shifter, upgraded the final drive with the diff too.

Beautiful build. Top quality. Looking forward to seeing progress with the engine install. Didn't know you could run a stock tranny with a 4 rotor.

^ Why couldnt you? The rear iron is the same so it has the same bolt pattern as a 2 or 3 rotor.

^ Sorry, should have been more clear. Can a stock tranny hold up to the demands of a 4 rotor? I guess that depends on the direction the OP will go, NA or turbo.

I don't imagine there will be any issue with the stockish tranny. I don't think the 26b makes as much torque as some of the turbo setups that shred trannies. Even if it did, Liberty could solve that issue.

Was curious. I know the OS Giken hardened gears supposedly help. But the stock FD tranny does well up to what, 350 WHP? How much can the OS Giken setup really help?

Then again, I use a JDM stock tranny and haven't had any problems with my 3 rotor. I am not one to romp on it though nor do I go above 7,500 RPMs much either. I think I am comparing this buld the Defined's 26B and that is my mistake.

David Hayes- Thanks, yeah it shouldn't have any issues I would think. The engine has had a large street port performed(still side port) on it. As for comparing this build to Logans.. Him and his shop had intention of hitting the highest power, balancing chassis weight, and making it as light as possible. This is my cousins car that him and I work on at home. lol Yeah, I think that would be a mistake. Every build has it circumstances, and goals.

Yeah I have a built 93 VR that I take out now and then. Although I'm usually at every Friday Sin City Rotary meets and rarely at west side wednesday (Fukuburger meets). Yeah Stevens FD is pretty sweet, we had the same guy tune our cars. That's a great build going on man, can't wait to see this finished!

The guy said he wasn't a member, something about his cousin asking him to bring it to the show for them.

The car was cool, but too bad it wasn't running. No harness, throttle cable or belts, etc.

FDs don't run, they just sit and rot for years.

Rot is my favorite mod. Mine sat for a while. Drove it for the first time in 3.5 years yesterday.

Yea, and that must be a radiator, not IC since the 4 rotor in this car is not turbocharged. Hoping they finish her up for SS 18 in November
