#1st Build Thread~ #1 Only Custom Design and Made by me

My design and style of this wide bodykit might not get many people interested, some might like it and some might hate it (think its ugly).

(3 years ago): foam and aluminium foil tape ( this early stage do look ugly because i dont spent much time working on it. only few hour during weekdays at night and weekend)

Dang, Very nice work! did you use foam block for the whole kit or pour foam too?

I'm very curious to see the finish results. It looks like you trimmed down the height of the front end from the first renditions? Originally it looked too bulky up front but looks better now

I'll be in the same boat next month... except trying to do it all within a few weeks!

I didn't use foam block for the whole kit, I cut out the foam to pieces and glue it together with clear gum glue which don't melt the foam.
cutting it and glue it which took a lot time but I get the correct measurement as I move along on the process.

The new HRE Performance Wheels Carbon Fiber CF2 Series is designed to not only be the most exclusive wheel in the world, it is designed for the customer who is seeking the highest performing wheel on the market today.

19” applications start as low as 15 lbs.

Estimated delivery will be Q2, 2013. We are putting together a pre-order list. Initial carbon barrel stock will be limited. To secure barrels and your spot on the list, please contact an HRE representative or Authorized HRE Carbon Fiber Dealer. A 25% deposit is required to secure barrels and will be issued on a first come first serve basis. This initial deposit is fully refundable. Once we are ready for production we will require an additional 25% and we will provide you with an estimated delivery date. Customers with a deposit can make their final decision for the center design and finish up to three weeks before delivery.

Please, let us know the Make, Model and Year of your vehicle and the diameter of wheels you are interested in.

I look forward to your response and to helping you.

Kind regards,
Laurent

Or maybe I am wrong and you bought 20" wheels that are the hottest **** on earth only to keep it a secret under your carport.

Why do you say he didn't buy them? Because he didn't tell you? Do you know something that this thread isn't conveying? So WTF if he didn't or if he never does. This obviously isn't an internet dreamer build thread like so many wantabes on here.

I think HARD2B shows some serious skills and effort to have someone come inside his build thread and basically call him a liar and an *******.

"the help" -- "yea custom craftsmanship is cool and all" Custom craftsmanship is cool and all....WTF?? You sound like the *******.....and a jealous kid.

Amazing work HARD2B!! Seriously....

I call it like I see it. If you post something like that "I just got these" and then disappear, you are clearly pandering to those willing to say "oh man, if i only could afford those" or "That's totally badass man!! Be sure to follow up" In short he clearly posted what I quoted for attention, which I admit he got.

LOL jealous..yes I am so jealous that I can't afford wheels that aren't suited for the track or anything else really. When you buy wheels like that you buy them for street cred not for increasing the performance aspect of an FD3S. Even the McLaren P1 doesn't have wheels like that and that car is north of $750k.

Custom body is great and all, making up a story 2 years ago only to not post up the results isn't.

What background do you have to gain such skills? Very impressive.
Seems like you could have any car, what made you choose to upgrade your RX-7 instead?

I use to work with ford and holden at the race track for many long years making CF bodykit parts for them and repair those panel piece when it been damage in the race. During that time I also own my FD which never get to drive it much, most the time it just seating there in the garage, so then one day I said to myself why not do one on my own rx7 for a change. So I did it.
I have 2x FD, one was brought brand new and still seating on genuine 7777 km's and other one I got it 2nd hand at 47k km's which this one I have been mucking around with it.
rx7 have a nice shape and curves to it but I also have an interest in doing another car also "NSX".
