well i was holding back in hopes that there had been a mistake, but there wasnt. this guy is completely full of ****. the address that he gave me does not exist!! the street is real, but the house number isnt. i drove all the way to TN (3.5 hours each way) yesterday evening to find that he had conviniently turned off his phone. and to top it all off, i had brought a rolling shell that was going to be partial trade for the engine!!! i even went to the local fire department and talked with them(very helpful) and they confirmed this address was not real. nor was his "name" listed in the phone book.

since i got back he has not returned any of my pms or e-mails and has been online. nor did he send me a pm asking what happend? why didnt you show up? or something to that effect. NOTHING!

luckely i had not sent him any money to hold the engine, but i managed to waste $200 in diesel and a whole afternoon/night. and people wonder why everyone is so hesitant to buy from people on this forum, its ******** like you!!!! the only thing i dont understand is what were you trying to get out of this? you had none of my money and i never even saw you? maybe a good laugh sending me on a wild goose chase???????????????????

I am not even surprised.. from day ONE I called B.S.

 

I have beeb in contact with dregg100 thru pm's the past couple of days concerning this matter.
He supplied me with information concerning the details involving this ordeal. After contacting viper2020cobra today and requesting some information. I was convinced of a major problem. I spent the day doing back tracking for more information, all leading no where.
Thankfully after dreggs was able to supply me with some more vital information. The gut feeling I had was realized. Normally we(mods) would not post up most of this information and findings.
However, I have openly stated that I would do whatever I could to stop this on the forum and that's exactly what I am doing.
Here is some vital information for all members to be aware of concerning this member viper2020cobra. I recommend that after viewing the one attached thread that you click onto the other supplied one in the forum link.

Good news is that no-one from this forum got scammed that I know of. :-)

I can look into them more (IE registered address, and such), but only at the forum members request .

Ummm not saying that your wrong but he did say he was in the military unless he was lying about that to. They get paid 20,000 to enlist so that is probably why he was selling them for so cheap. Maybe he moved also.

people use the military thing to get sympathy, and obviously it worked. and just to let you know, they dont get $20k to enlist.

 

If he's in the military, somebody should track him down and contact his CO. I hear they frown on such activities and issues pretty heavily, though I admit a very limited understanding of the military way of life.

if he is in the military and someone can track down his unit and prove he's a scammer, he'll get in HUGE trouble. restriction, reduction in rank, forfeiture of pay (at a minimum to repay what he scammed), and possibly even sent to the brig for a while.

and no, they don't just hand you $20k to sign up.

I sincerely hope he is not in the military. He'll get more than non-judicial punishment, if the civilian side gets a hold of it. I hope this turns out well for you OP. People who cry "MILITARY" are usually not. I for one think it's rediculous to use as a crutch.
