Hi everyone, I don't want to make any trouble here, but I'm quite concerned that I may not have any legs to stand on if the **** hits the fan with this purchase. My primary concern is that the buyer requested I gift the $155 USD to him to avoid paypal fees. It donned on me after the fact that I had just given money with no hard copy other than my PM's that he was to send me a product. I can't dispute anything through paypal because of the "gift" status of the transaction.

I sent payment of $155 USD for an OBX T4 Turbo manifold from the user APEXAP1 on march 15th. To date I have still not received my item, or a tracking number for it. My last contact with this user was on April 2nd, he said he was going to try and find my tracking number and get back to me. Initially contact was good, and replies were fast, usually same day. I just have this horrible feeling I might be up **** creek.

if you do paypal please send it as a gift instead of goods because they wont take out any fees that way.

payment was sent yesterday, paypal actually charged me $1.55 for the transaction.

I'm hoping you get back to me soon with a tracking number. As now that I have thought about it, it seems that by sending you money as a gift, I may not be protected by paypal.

Thank god, i just realized after the fact that i might have totally screwed myself.

I was concerned because you replied very fast to the original PM, and then no reply for a day and a bit to the second after payment.

Yes i do its a customs number. i have it in my note pad at work. im on my way to work and ill send it to you this evening thank you for being patient. they do take a while usps international so im sorry for the wait.

This was my last attempt VIA PM to contact him, it was on April 5th I think. I sent the following email to his paypal email address on April 6th. Still no contact from him.

Okay, so upon talking to him via text message, it seems he has replied to my PM's but I have not received them, possibly due to a problem with the sites PM system?

He informed me that he has just lost his mother, and his GF was in a serious car accident, as well as his car being written off very recently. He said that the past couple weeks have been really crappy for him, and he just hasn't felt up to doing anything.

I feel like a huge douchebag for posting this up now, but I feel that I have to take these steps to protect myself. I hope (for my sake) that he is on the level with me, but I just have no way of knowing if it's the truth. I give him my sencere condolences for the loss of his mother, and hope for a speedy recovery of his GF.

I just want this to get resolved and I'll be happy to reccomend this seller.

OK, he called me about 3 minutes ago. He gave me the customs number for the package and it shows it was shipped on march 23rd.
