He's in Long Beach
He lives in Long Beach now. If anyone wants to know where he lives, let me know. Eventhough I'm not a rich person, but I don't want to let myself drop down to his level. Anyways...watch out cuz he's still out there looking for newbies to burn.

Along with the other **** he sold me. I also bought a '79/'80 5 speed from the ******* when I picked it up it didnt shift and he assured me it was a simple fix.
well come to find out that after I took the tail shaft off that the shifting arm wasnt lined up with the forks easy fix. now that I got by that obstacle I could not find 5th gear, well after removing the tailshaft a couple more times and figuring out what fork controlled what gear I discovered that this trans is really a 4 speed.
Now did this ******* know that this was a 4 speed before he sold it to me and made it so it wouldnt shift so he get my money in his hand. If this is the case he is the biggest piece of **** out there and lord have mercy on his sole because I dont.
So much for getting the sp to 7 stock this is the straw---MadChad.

I am sure this is the same Gary that I ran into about 10 years ago. I was a noob and around 18.
He kept the 4 speed out of my 79, I doubt he would have been toting it around all of these years.
I started catching him in a bunch of lies back then. He tried to rip me off but I caught on and didn't get taken too bad. He had put another 12a in my car that wouldn't line up with the tranny and caused problems with the starter engaging. I knew he told me, "drive it around so it will seat." that he was full of ****. I had paid him some up front, but could easilly tell the motor wasnt a low mile rebuild. I took the car home, put it in the garage and yanked the motor out. When he called for the balance I challenged him on everything and said he could come grab it and bring me my money. He never took the offer.
Funny thing, I had started clearing stuff out that I had accumulated over the years and actually decided to crack that motor open last year. I will look to see if I still have the pieces in the scrap heap, but it was unbelievable how much chrome was missing from the housings.
Sucks to see people get taken, hopefully he will go the route of Hayes and just dissapear.

i'm not defending the guy but i don't see any real issues with that motor.
the porting looks like it was done by a 5 year old(but it would still work, it does look damn close to the water jacket though). the bearings who gives a **** about.. how many rotaries really have bearing failures? next to none unless you drive over a boulder and rip your oil pan off, i only recommend wasting time on bearings if they show 20% copper on the face. a little carbon buildup won't kill the motor(but it is shitty workmanship to leave it, i wouldn't rape someone over it though unless they didn't even attempt to clean it off).
if he charged you for parts you never recieved that is the main issue here and the fact that he sucks at cleaning the internals.
i guess i just get a little worked up when people get overly **** about minor stuff, if he was charging you a grip of money for the job and didn't do it i would understand, i am curious to hear his side of the story though because from the outside it looks like he cared about his product.
just remember kids, there is 2 sides to every coin and we haven't seen the other side yet. there is little information in that post about real expectations or price paid for the job etc. you all are acting like a pissed off mob wielding pitch forks ready to stab this guy and calling him a thief, maybe you need to prove to us that he really is.

karack..... if i gave someone a s5 t2 engine for a rebuild and got back a motor w/ NA rotors, and NA housings.... id be pissed too..... that in itself is enough for me to wanna break the guys neck if i got that motor..... and yes, there is always 2 sides to the story...BUT, i think i read 5 or 6 people in this thread who were burned by this guy... so thats a pretty good sign of this guy getting bashed for all the right reasons... i am always one to keep an open mind until i hear both sides...but in this case, it seems pretty cut and dry..... if you reread the original post, he states what he paid, and what was agreed upon... and it doesnt look like he got it.... but i do agree 99% of the time to wait until you hear both stories, just not this time

On every performance build we do at our shop we install new bearings, unless the ones being used are in *very* good condition. They're an important part of any build if the customer is looking for any longevity out of a street engine.
Not saying this is the case with you personally, but it's my belief that many builders/shops don't want to mess with installing new bearings b/c it can be a pain in the ***. To me that's not a good enough reason.

Why the F**K would you not replace the rotor bearing once you have the bitch out of the sandwich unless you know that the unit is fairly new or has zero clearance issue.
If your builder does not own a hydro press nor has any idea what a micrometer/ filler gauge/straight edge block are stay the f**K away from my engine.
